So close

I saw you on the street
in the cities lights
you were so pretty
I followed you
couldn't reach you
lost in the crowd
wind was blowing
swirled you around
I was in love
the moment I saw you
you floated like a butterfly
on a hot sunny day
how I needed you
I was so thirsty
somebody else took you
gone forever
my mouth was dry
don't worry
I'll find another buck
