The Johari Window - a Conceptual Tool for Self Awareness

The Western educational system has -- and intentionally so -- failed the population. Instead of creating a population ready to think, ponder and reflect, they've created generations of shallow, non-thinking "emoters" in the vein of 1984, BRAVE NEW WORLD and METROPOLIS.

Show of hands, how many of you were taught of the Johari Window in your educational years? I'd venture to guess, not many. The Left made a concerted effort to change any society they'd controlled or targeted so that deep thinking, morals and religion were eliminated and slavish devotion to Big Brother substituted in their place.

See: GRAMSCI: LONG MARCH THROUGH THE INSTITUTIONS
required a "long march through the culture" to slowly discredit and undermine its institutions, values, and foundations. This was a brilliantly destructive idea. Eventually, the society would fall apart, opening the way to totalitarian socialism to rescue the mess. Thus the nihilistic flavor of the Western Left which is always seemingly-incomprehensively mingled with extreme Statism.

This was reflected in the Communist "How To" Manual for Destroying Decent Society, called: "Psycho-Politics."

The work is extensive and comprehensive, but a revealing passage is this:

"We have battled in America since the century's turn to bring to nothing...all Christian influences and we are succeeding. You must work until officials of city, county, and state will not think twice before they pounce upon religious groups as public enemies. (there must) be a...foaming hatred of religion...a belief that Christian practice is vicious, bad, insanity causing, publicly hated and intolerable."

Now consider the Johari Window: "The Johari window is a technique that helps people better understand their relationship with themselves and others. It was created by psychologists Joseph Luft (1916–2014) and Harrington Ingham (1916–1995) in 1955."

What do you think of yourself?
What do others think you think of yourself?
What do you think others think of you?

And, of course, there are your psychological blind spots.

If you step outside yourself and consider whether what you believe in is objectively supported, or not?

How do you react to new or conflicting information?

Have you considered the track record of the proponents of the information coming in?

Have you considered the track record of the belief system you adhere to?

Leftists, by and large, have abandoned all introspection and objective analysis of the world around them. Have they considered that their belief system (if it can be called that) has brought the totalitarian boot down on any society it has ever taken root in, and that it has led to the deaths of hundreds of millions? As Former KGB Defector Lev Bezmanov has observed, there are those in the West whose indoctrination is complete and permanent. Their minds, says Bezmanov, are contaminated. The Soviets called such people "Useful Idiots." Meaning, useful to the Communist enemy.

Another false narrative - Border Patrol agents on horseback did not use whips when facing migrants

Contrary to what Biden, Harris, and the liberal media says border patrol did not use whips or stampede over migrants. It's all just another of the many lies from this Biden administration and the mainstream media.

News4Jax is running a viral social media claim through the Trust Index about U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents allegedly whipping Haitian migrants along the Rio Grande as they tried to get into the United States. The dramatic scene has drawn widespread condemnation from the White House, politicians and the public.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is pledging to swiftly conduct an investigation into what happened, calling this incident along the Rio Grande “extremely troubling.”

But are horseback mounted CBP agents really using whips to corral a large group of migrants? The News4Jax Trust Index team is giving this claim a rating of not true.

This is the reason why:

A video originally captured by Al Jazeera shows U.S. Border Patrol agents on horseback trying to stop Haitian migrants from entering an encampment on the banks of the Rio Grande on Sunday. But it’s an image captured by photographer Paul Ratje that’s led to widespread criticism.

U.S. Sen. Jeff Merkley tweeted: “Use of whips on refugees? Disturbing and unacceptable. This must end immediately.”

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, however, denied that Border Patrol agents used whips, explaining to reporters that agents use long reins to control their horses — and not whips — and saying that reigns were being held by CBP agents. Mayorkas also added that a full investigation is warranted.

“One cannot weaponize a horse to aggressively attack a child. That is unacceptable. That is not what our policies and our training require. Please understand, let me be quite clear, that is not acceptable. We will not tolerate mistreatment, and we will address it with full force based on the facts that we learn,” Mayorkas said.

Ratje, the photographer who took the controversial photo, also weighed in on what happened, telling NPR and a news station the following about what he captured with his lens: “Some of the Haitian men started running, trying to go around the horses, and that’s when the whole thing happened. I never saw them whip anyone. The agent was swinging the reigns that to some can be misconstrued when your looking at the pictures.”

I defy anybody to produce one picture of a whip being used. They are simply the reins needed to handle a horse.

So, does how CBP agents handled this situation deserve an investigation? The answer is yes. But to the claim that horseback mounted CBP agents were seen whipping Haitian migrants trying to get into the U.S., the News4JAX Trust Index Team rates this claim as not true.

Biden draws his biggest rally ever in Del Rio Texas

Embedded image from another site

DEL RIO, TEXAS—Thousands of illegal immigrants, mostly from Haiti, are congregating under an international bridge in the largest rally ever for President* Biden.

The illegal immigrants are spread out over a dirt lot strewn with litter, many sitting or lying on blankets. Others stand, chatting with companions.

Some 9,000 illegal immigrants, including Haitian, Cuban, and Venezuelan nationals, are in the area, Val Verde County Sheriff Joe Frank Martinez confirmed at 3:45 p.m. local time on Sept. 16 and they all voted for the US president.

“It’s a festival atmosphere here,” Genesius Times Mexico correspondent José Cuervo said. “Biden’s fan base is really growing here and the promise to vote for him three or four times next election if he lets them in.”

The number has skyrocketed in less a week, from only a couple of hundred under the bridge on Sept. 9.

The previous record for a Biden rally was 15, though the Biden boat parades were much more popular.

Illegal Immigrants From Haiti Being Released In U.S., Contrary To DHS Chief’s Deportation Claims

Lie after lie after lie.....The Biden Administration.

On Monday, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said that Haitian migrants who had been camping under a bridge in Del Rio, Texas, would be deported. On Wednesday, however, the Associated Press reported that U.S. officials were saying many of the migrants were being released into the U.S.

One U.S. official with direct knowledge of the situation but spoke on the condition of anonymity told the AP that Haitians have been released into the country on a “very, very large scale.” The officials suggested the number being released was in the thousands.

“Many have been released with notices to appear at an immigration office within 60 days, an outcome that requires less processing time from Border Patrol agents than ordering an appearance in immigration court and points to the speed at which authorities are moving, the official said,” the AP reported. “The Homeland Security Department has been busing Haitians from Del Rio to El Paso, Laredo and the Rio Grande Valley along the Texas border, and this week added flights to Tucson, Arizona, the official said. They are processed by the Border Patrol at those locations.”

Another U.S. official who also spoke on the condition of anonymity and has direct knowledge of the operations along the border told the AP that large numbers of the illegal immigrants from Haiti have been processed but not placed on flights back to Haiti, which began on Sunday. Both officials told the outlet that authorities had to use planes to move the immigrants when they couldn’t get enough transportation contractors to bus them to El Paso.

“The releases in the U.S. were occurring despite the signaling of a massive effort to expel Haitians on flights to Haiti under pandemic-related authority that denies migrants an opportunity to seek asylum. A third U.S. official not authorized to discuss operations said there were seven daily flights to Haiti planned starting Wednesday,” the AP reported.

Biden Just Rolled a Live Grenade Into Nursing Homes Across America

President Joe Biden recently announced that all nursing home employees must be vaccinated against COVID-19. Failure to comply could result in nursing facilities losing Medicare and Medicaid funding.

This vaccine mandate will exacerbate the shortage of nursing home workers, lead to the shutting down of many long-term care facilities and have severe adverse effects on America’s frail and elderly citizens.

The United States has an aging population. As baby boomers age, demand for health care services for seniors, including long-term care, is expected to grow.

Also, an increase in life expectancy over time means that there will be more seniors relying on the American health care system in the years to come. Therefore, a robust health care workforce is essential to meet the rising demand for services for America’s seniors.

For years, policy experts have discussed various aspects of the health care workforce. Even before the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, there were concerns regarding the shortage of health care professionals such as doctors and nurses in the United States.

In the long-term care sector, the workforce shortage is much more significant. The coronavirus pandemic has intensified this shortage.

In the United States, people have the right to make their own decisions about their health care. Nursing home employees must not be forced to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

At a time when nursing homes are facing staffing challenges, President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate will add to the problem. When compelled to choose between personal freedom and their jobs, many nursing home employees may resign from their positions because they do not wish to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

In Wisconsin, nursing homes have been suffering from worker shortages for years. A 2018 study revealed there were 16,500 vacant caregiver positions in long-term and residential facilities in the state. By 2020, the number had increased to 20,655.

Biden’s vaccine mandate will deepen the pre-existing workforce challenges, turn the situation into a full-fledged crisis and crush nursing homes’ ability to hire workers to care for their residents.

To advance his administration’s agenda of vaccinating all Americans by snatching away people’s freedom to choose, Joe Biden is using taxpayer-funded programs as a threatening tool.

Medicaid, a public health insurance program for low-income individuals, is the primary payer for long-term care services in America. Medicare, too, is paid for by hard-working Americans. If facilities lose Medicaid and Medicare funding for failure to comply with Biden’s vaccine mandate, then the real victims would be elderly nursing home residents.

'Only' 3 1/2 more years of outrageous hypocrisy

Yep, that's how long we will hear more nonsensical whining about Biden every time he does anything. There was even an issue with him checking his watch after some services were done. Really ?

This after we witnessed the worst president in our lifetime lie, break laws, get impeached TWICE, and set a new record for corruption. Trials for tax evasion, fraud, emoluments violations, and inappropriate s*xual activity, all will take place after the investigations have finished.
Also a record number of tell all books from witnesses about the ineptness and corruption of the administration.

Not a negative thing to say about all that though. The epitome of hypocrisy. scold

CNN Poll: 2% Think America Is Doing ‘Very Well’ Under Joe Biden

The study was conducted for CNN by SSRS, an independent research company. Surveys were obtained August 3- September 7, 2021 with a representative sample of n=2,119 respondents. Implementing a full probability design via Address-Based Sampling (ABS), U.S. households were randomly selected to participate and were first reached via mail. Adults ages 18 or older completed the survey via web (n=1,943) or phone (n=176). The margin of sampling error for total respondents is +/- 2.8 at the 95% confidence level. The design effect is 1.68. For results among the 1,838 registered voters, the margin of sampling error is +/-3.0.

“How well are things going in the country today?” CNN asked respondents. Two percent said “very well,” 29 percent said “fairly well,” 45 percent said “pretty bad,” and 24 percent said “very badly.”

Combining the net answers, 69 percent said “pretty/very badly,” while 31 percent said “very/fairly well”–a 37 percent difference.

For perspective, while former President Donald Trump was in office in January 2020, 21 percent of Americans said the United States was doing very well:

Regarding specific issues from this year to last year, the numbers do not improve for Biden. For instance, 77 percent are worried about the economy in 2021, while 58 percent were worried about it in 2020. Similar numbers exist for crime, as 57 percent in 2021 are worried about crime, while 37 percent were worried about crime in 2020.

Related to the coronavirus, concern over the pandemic has risen since Trump was president. Today, 70 percent are worried about the virus, compared to 60 percent in 2020.
