FEATHERS FROM AN EAGLE

The sun smiled down on me
I had a love key
The wind whispered your name softly
You wore your Box-Jellyfish cloak
fraudulently

There were storms in my heart
You used me as a dew port
You stabbed me with your venomous honey-dart
What did I see in your winter-eyes
Masque stones of goodbye disguise

Your fish cold lips were black-blood butterfly-wings
on my cheek
The dark cloud in you was oblique

Your voice was an avalanche-waterfall
in my rose garden hall
You stole my love-dream
with your UFO scheme

When the wind took you away
Your unspoken words became a stingray

I flowed heartbroken in space
You made me a cheap phase

You flown on the wings of an eagle
Your cloak-eyes were disentangled
You disappeared like the feathers of
an eagle

REMAINS

No longer can you see her
In her physical shell
But she remains.
When the wind musses your hair
It is her fingers you feel.
When the sun rises
It is her glow that reflects off the water.
When it rains
It is her love falling onto you.
She is in the air that you breathe,
The water you taste,
And the emotions you feel.
She remains.
Memories from the past
New experiences in the future
She remains with you in her natural state.
She remains.

Chant for Lover's Return

Oh for a candle I could light
to draw you close...
Oh for a puppet
made like you,
with your own lovely body
sewn again of cloth,
with your own pale
unseeing eyes,
with your manhood sweetly curving,
remade in wax or clay....

Oh for an herb
to place upon my tongue
to bring your tongue
to mine..

Oh for a potion
I could drink
or slip to you
at some stale
dinner party....

Oh for your nail parings...
Oh for your hairs...
stirred in a brew,
baked in a millet cake...

I would make a stew,
a soup, a lover's mix
to bring your lovely thighs
to mine.

I would boil bats if not babies
& toads if not theologians
to make you care....

I would enter your blood
like malaria, enter your eyes
like laser beams, enter your palms
like the holy spirit
causing stigmata
to a sex-starved saint!

Oh, love,
I would spell you
evol
if mere anagrams
would bring you
near....

But I spell you love
& still
you do not
hear.

Vokzal

Vokzal…
A stingy, poor, bitter tear
Is trickling down the window here,
Now I am living in the past.
Vokzal…
The town is flying past the train,
In it we used to live one day,
Dreaming forever to stay there.
So in our life it comes to pass,
Can’t live together, have to part,
To shreds from sufferings is torn
Heart.
Tears by the road are bitter, hard,
Love’s sufferings are brutal such,
Became again the lonesome ones
Now.
Vokzal…
Remember I warmth of your soul,
How easy was it for us both,
All in the past, long time ago.
Vokzal…
All clocks have stopped and do not stir,
Thawed water will then wash it off
For good the trace of how it was.
So in our life it comes to pass,
Can’t live together, have to part,
To shreds from sufferings is torn
Heart.
Tears by the road are bitter, hard,
Love’s sufferings are brutal such,
Became again the lonesome ones
Now.
Vokzal…
Remember I warmth of your soul,
How easy was it for us both,
All in the past, long time ago.
So in our life it comes to pass,
Can’t live together, have to part,
To shreds from sufferings is torn
Heart.
Tears by the road are bitter, hard,
Love’s sufferings are brutal such,
Became again the lonesome ones
Now.
Vokzal…

About this poem:
Vokzal is a railway station in Russian. Performed by Russian singer and actress Yekaterina Guseva. The music is all important here. I translated lyrics in case you get interested in what Yekaterina is singing about. It's all about parting - the same old sad story. I am sure all of us know well the bitterness of it. No bitter partings and good luck in love, dear poets!

Too Much!

I've had too many women
Drunken too much booze
Been lost inside the city
With too much choice to choose.

I've tried too much of this
And done too much of that
Slept around, got on the piss
And been with alley cats.

Gambled, fought, and brawled
(Although I am a lover)
My younger years were wild and lost
My passion a hot smother.

Ambition hard has been a vice
My feelings have been token
Now my souls as cold as ice
For my heart has been broken.

I will always find you

I will always find you
when you need me to

I will always love you,
even thou we are apart

I will always find you
when you are lonely.

I Will Always love you
when you need me to

i will Keeping my arms wide open,
when you figure things out.

i know You changed my life.
And I don't care what people have to say

If you pick up the phone,
I'll be there waiting for you call

I will always love you,
in my heart and soul

Life can be cruel

I live to see what I can be, as long as I believe in me

The world can be harsh, and can be cruel at times

But keep your head up, and smile once in a while

So you may be stressed, and upset and annoyed

And you end up lashing out, at one's you hold dear

I made mistakes like any man, and paid the price

The pain I caused my beloved, I was as cold as ice

I switched off my emotions, with a roll of the dice

Now I can't feel anything, as my heart maybe dead

F_ck! I lost all that I loved, and will never get it back

Left all bitter and twisted, need to get back on track

Cause if I stay like this, I'm surly f_cked for all time

So what ever you do, please don't end up like me

Always stay in love, and your heart will be free

And if you can do that, then there's hope for me.

storys from the past

There was this girl,27 years ago, cant remember her name, always thought of her as the ice princess because she had those eyes. The ones that are not quit grey and not quit blue, almost colorless, just and edge of shade around the iris. She was one of the street rats like me,a little elfin blond that somebody had hurt, she wouldn't talk much, took months to gain her trust. Those kinda people don't like it,if you look at them, move to fast or point your body directly at them.We were never close but sometimes if I made extra cash hustling we would sit all night in G.W. writing poetry together. She liked the curly fries with ranch dressing and drank the ice tea ............much love.....elo

High Above

High above - somewhere in the firmament
Before we're born it seems our die is cast
And destiny amid this life's entanglement
Shines softly forth - like moonlight on a path.

Our loves and lovers neither of us know
The folly of our youth - true heart's desire -
A chill in the soul - like winter snow -
Young passion burning with a quick hot fire.

Childhood lost too soon - the toll of years
And in a flash so much of life is gone
Trial and tribulation, laughter, tears -
Life's morning, afternoon and setting sun.

First love, last love - and all those in between -
Are strung across the far flung Milky Way.
They now return - to haunt me in my dreams -
Sweet mistress of the night a memory.

Tears in the Attic

For years her poem slept between
the pages of an old book in the
attic..
She loved me and I loved her but
something went wrong and we parted
For years I languished in guilt and
self doubt about what went went wrong
Time had blunted most of the hellish
pain that had ripped through my soul
in midnight hours
But still..the question of why had
lingered on..
I unfolded the poem which by now had
yellowed with time
It seemed a wiff of her perfume had emited
it's last aroma as I opened the neatly
folded paper
Her tears smugged the ink within the lines
of her soulful words
and this stained poem was her final
memorial to a love that had been choked
by the thorns of misunderstanding
She wrote in words of gentleness that make
me cry for the magic of her touch
What was I without her?
How could I have gone on so long when
the taste of her lips had awakened me
for a thousand nights
What can a man be..what can I be..without her
In dreams I fall upon her neck with kisses
of my soul
In day light I grieve for her dimond moons
There is no sun that can brighten my day
For she is the day of my heart
But where can she be now/
Who has stoled the preciousness of my heart
Bowed over I clutch this poem as a broken
Man
Sun rise has lost its meaning
Starlight is for the magic of another
All I have left are words of breathless
Sorrow
All that remains of me are shadows of
what could have been
All is gone
All I have are tears in the attic~
