Some reasons for shortened male life spans - war, conflict, high risk occupations, participation in dare-devil and other dangerous sporting events and in an effort to show off to impress a woman - peacocking.
sadly the Greeks haven't been able to hold onto a lot of things right now - after how many years - it is just a matter of determining who is going to reap the benefits of viewing them. A lot of things taken from China are in the museums as well.
a public museum anywhere in any country that extolls the beauty and applauds the origin and makes public the source of the item - shares a goodness with the world. Surely there are museums in Greece that contain other countries items too.
Yet to think that things must be returned to the country of origin, can be very destructive type of thinking - look at the fight over the ownership of Jerusalem -
Bluefish22: “If you will note, Albert, the US only "takes care" of rogue regimes of countries that hold some form of valuable resource or a route for a valuable resource. It is always done for the benefit of the US, not the benefit of the people of that country.
Sure........all things that America does is for a route or a resource - like when US sent their navy ship hospital to Haiti after the earthquake - that was just for US benefit..... or any other time that US has reached out to countries in need with funds and their own resources to help out - americans are the most generous in the world to reach out to help others in need - sometimes they back the wrong cause - and sometimes "no good deed goes unpunished"
