The National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has released data on the just passed hurricane season.
2016 was the eleventh consecutive(!) year in which NO major hurricane made landfall anywhere in the U.S.
None. Nada...In the ELEVEN consecutive years since Al's movie was released.

It is the longest such period in about a hundred and fifty years!

Seriously...could anyone have dared predict THAT over a decade ago?
Incredible.

"The Collapse Of Swedish...

...Police, Law And Legal System"

For some time there has been reports that Sweden is in decline due to pressures put upon its societal and economic institutions by the influx of immigrants.

Until recently, these reports have come largely from individuals reporting/opining on venues such as YouTube.

Recent reports from Swedish officials now appear to be saying much the same thing.
This from Stockholm's Chief Of Police...

More evidence that the situation is deteriorating, perhaps more quickly than even YouTube opiners predicted...

YouTube NORWAY: WE'RE READY TO ABANDON INTERNATIONAL LAW

Basically, the Norwegian PM has announced that country will not abide by Geneva Convention provisions for taking in refugees, and will close and enforce its border with Sweden in the event of its collapse.

Individuals opining via YouTube vids are one thing.
Official actions being announced by a head of state are quite another.
'Actions speaking louder than words', as the saying goes.

This is as heartbreaking as it is surprising.
Sweden has long been thought of as one of the better and more progressive societies in which to live.
That it now appears confronted with a situation which may lead to its collapse is something that would've been well nigh unimaginable not so very long ago.

Interesting New World in which we live, is it not.

Maria migrated to Maryland USA from Russia about ten years ago.
She intended to take courses to become an in interpreter.
She discovered her gift for boredom about 5 years ago.

It may be a great loss to the cause of World Peace that she didn't stay with her 'interpreter' plan. sad
I can just imagine it...
Some future World leaders are on the brink of unleashing nuclear annihilation.

Does Anyone Have The Recipe For Pot Cookies?

This is a kinda follow on to Ash's Full Moon blog. dancing

I heard that there was going to be something called a drum circle at Da Lake* to celebrate the rising of the Strawberry Full Moon. applause
As I enjoy music, I thought I'd head down to the beach & take it in.

Some nice young lady had thoughtfully prepared home made cookies for the event.
Very generous of her! grin
They were very tasty...I know they contained chocolate chips.

Anyway.
As the young lady passed her plate of cookies around, she described them as 'pot cookies'.

I'd never heard of anything so crazy.

PAN cakes? Well, yeah. I've heard of those. Who hasn't, right? roll eyes

But...POT cookies?!
How does one make cookies in a POT?!
And WHY?
Wouldn't one use a cookie sheets to make cookies?
IT JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE! dunno

BUT -
Those cookies sure were good! very happy
Odd...it somehow slipped my mind to ask the nice young lady for the recipe.
sad

So...
If any of y'all have a recipe for pot cookies, I'd sure appreciate it if you'd share it.
Or, for that matter, just explain how cookies are made in a pot.

A Moment Of Silence For London Attack Victims...

was called for prior to the soccer match between Australia & Saudi Arabia.
It was mentioned that two young Aussie women were killed in the attack, one a nurse who was slain while attempting to assist victims of the attack.

The Saudi team (with what appears to the notable exception of #7) ignored the request to pay respect to the victims.

As this act was performed at an international event, it may be pressumed that it was the desire & intention of Saudis that their actions to be a public display.

In keeping with their presumed desire, the below vid will further their intention.
