Quantum Leap

I'm off on vacation for nine days, and yeah, it feels soooo good.

I ran into an old TV show that was on from early 1989 to spring of 1993. Watched about three hours of it on one of the newer networks this week, and actually watching the last hour of the third one tonight. I didn't forget how good the show was, but just watching some of the episodes I remember watching years ago is very nice. There had been some of these episodes that I haven't seen.

I sure wish that they would bring it back whether it's with Scott Bakula Sam), or a newer actor playing Sam. Dean Stockwell played Al, but the actor passed away a couple of months ago.

Who remembers Quantum Leap, and which episode was your favorite, or stood out to you?

Covid-19 vacs

Who isn't tired with the Covid topic...

I do feel like getting the vaccine helps to some degree as far as possibly not getting it to getting a mild case of Covid. And yes, I know there still has been a few Covid deaths after having been vaccinated, but there has been a lot more deaths with people not having received the vaccine. I work in the e.r. and I have seen a lot of patients coming in who have not been vaccinated that have tested positive for Covid, and with some of these patients, they are sent back home after being treated, but are told to quarantine themselves for fourteen days since the symptoms are mild. We do have a lot of patients that have been admitted from Covid that had refused to get vaccinated. My opinion on that is it's on them that they haven't been vaccinated.

Now, I don't believe in mandates, it should be left to the person to decide if they want the vaccine or not. As I stated, I do believe the vaccine helps to some degree.

I had my first Covid vaccine back on Dec. 22, 2020, and my second one on Jan. 18, 2021. Right now my place of work is now offering a vaccine booster, and it's not mandatory. Right now I'm leaning against getting the booster for myself. I have been very fortunate to not having gotten Covid all this time in the e.r., but I do believe there are other factors in me having not gotten it, such as my blood type (O positive), taking precautions with what we're suppose to do, and being in good physical health.

My girlfriend (type A positive blood) had been vaccinated twice, but she still ended up getting Covid back in early August. I di believe since she received her vaccines, the symptoms were mild, and she quickly bounced back from it. Her having some underlying health issues, Covid would have been much worse on her had she not received her shots.

Right now, Covid cases are starting to drop at my work place, and hopefully we can get past all of this.

If people don't get vaccinated and don't want it, that's their right. They shouldn't be made into a villain. But at the same time, people who choose to get the vaccine shouldn't be called sheeps for it. It should be free will, not force mandated!

Happy Birthday, MTV

40 years ago today, MTV made it's debut with it's first music video. How many of you remember watching? MTV is not the same cool network it once was. You rarely see music videos on it today, or possibly none. thumbs down Feel free to post some of your favorite music videos you remember watching on MTV through the years.

Trump derangement syndrome

And yet Trump is no longer president. These people have failed to move on with their little meaningless lives. I believe one blogger stated before the election that they would quit blogging about Trump after he losses. Well, that too hasn't happened. "Trump Derangement Syndrome" is what they're made of. These people are never going to stop having this. rolling on the floor laughing I really shouldn't laugh, because it's actually pretty sad....

Btw, how are these people who have this problem get away with the continued blogs on Trump/politics? Seems like pro Trump blogs are almost always deleted by the site, while the anti Trump blogs by these sad people are left in place. This speaks volumes!thumbs down

Georgia voting rights law

MLB has now moved the All-Star game from Atlanta this summer. I say screw MLB. I don't see a problem with this voting rights law. People are already given enough time before the election to request a ballot to vote. The new guidelines with providing more information to vote absentee is a good thing since it will cut down on illegitimate votes.

To not provide water to people while standing in lines, so what, bring your own water!
