Camp Lejeune this, Camp Lejeune that...

Good Lord, how many times do we all have to hear about "if you had lived in Camp Lejeune between 1953 to 1988, you may be eligible for toxic water claims to receive compensation in a lawsuit."?!

Geez, that's all we ever hear these days. thumbs down

Believe it or not, I was actually born there back in 1967. My dad was a Marine and was stationed there so I fit right into the time frame. However, I have no health problems as of yet from the toxic water. It says that health problems may develop later in life. Stay tuned! uh oh

Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner

Just got through watching Bruce Caitlyn Jenner on Greg Gutfield on Fox News. He/she looks like a woman, but Caitlyn's voice still doesn't quite match a woman's.

I don't think Caitlyn likes men, I still think he/she prefers women, or am I wrong?

And if that's the case, why want to look like a woman?

The General Election 2022

I've been following some hot races across the U.S. during this election season. Some that have my interest is my state's (Ohio) U.S. Senate race with Vance vs. Ryan. Another is New York's Governor race. And the we have the Arizona U.S. Senate race with Masters vs. Kelly. Pa's U.S. Senate race with Oz vs. Fetterman. Georgia U.S. Senate race between Walker and Warnock. Arizona Governor race Lake vs. Hobbs.

If you're interested in any of the ones above, or another one not listed, feel free to share your thoughts on it/them. wave

Meeting and communication

98% of the time when meeting someone on these sites, that person usually ask if you want to chat elsewhere. My response is, sure, I have a phone, let's talk with each other and hear each other's voice.

Most of the time, it doesn't pan out. This is my little test to see if they're on the up and up and not a bot just looking for some info on you, like your email for one.

I'm pretty much old school when it comes to communicating over the phone, and just not looking at words on a screen. I like to hear a voice. Is that so bad?

Anyone else feel the same way?

No more masks!

Last Wednesday, the mask mandate was lifted at my workplace, which is a hospital. Very hard to believe, but after about 2 1/2 years of this crap of having to wear them, it finally ended. Of course it's optional if someone wants to continue wearing one, and we still see a few, but most of us have discarded them. head banger

But we were told in our emails at work that if numbers start to climb, then they will have to revisit the mask wearing mandate once again. thumbs down

Halloween costume parties

It's that time of year where some of us will be going to some Halloween costume party.

I had a fellow employees ask me if I were going to any of them this year, and if so, what who or what would I be going as. Well, I thought about it, and if I did go to a Halloween costume party, I would go as ....ready for this......here it goes....

.......JOAN JETT! rolling on the floor laughing Of course I was kidding at first, but then I thought, hmmmm, I do have the hair for it, so maybe.....but that's if I did go to one. I did have a co worker who was working security nearby say that I could probably pull it off. I think that would be interesting to go as Joan Jett. I was a fan of hers growing up, so sure, why not. head banger

If any of you have plans on going to a Halloween party this year, feel free to share who or what you would be going as, and why?

As for past Halloween parties, love to hear how you were dressed as for them. thumbs up

Halloween past

We all have memories growing up what it was like during the Halloween season. Seems like a lifetime ago, as I have fond memories of Halloween. The cold crisp weather, the scary movies put out by various networks, and of course, the candy. thumbs up

I would say my favorite Halloween was spent on Halloween eve when my area had trick-or-treat night on that day every years from about 5pm to 6:30 or 7pm. It was 1984 when my gf came down to spend it with me. We strolled around the area and got with my friend Steve as he was handing out candy to the kids out on the step for and elderly couple he knew. We sat down with him for a bit as we went on our way back to my house. We sat out back in my lounge chair out in my back yard for a while, and I gotta say, it may not have seemed like a lot, but it was honestly like a little piece of heaven for me. As I have gotten older, these memories have become even more special for me.

If anyone would like to share their favorite Halloween moment, feel free.

Oh, and as for the candy, gotta love those peanut M&M's, Reese's, Kit Kat's, and Twix candy. jackolantern

Quantum Leap (2022)

Just got through watching Quantum Leap. It's a sequel from the original Series from 1989 to 1993. Scott Bakula isn't in this one, and neither is Dean Stockwell. However, it does have the actress that played Al's (Stockwell) wife in the final Quantum Leap show in 1993.

It's actually pretty good. I would hope that Scott Bakula (Sam) would change his mind about appearing in this new one sometime down the road.

If you were a fan and haven't checked it out yet, please do so. Next Monday night looks to be a very interesting one. rolling on the floor laughing
