Founder of Home Depot on why he's voting for Trump

Missy Scott Young

In an interview with Bernie Marcus, the founder of Home Depot was asked. “Why are you voting for Trump? He’s rough, rude, aggressive—completely un-presidential. I don’t understand.”
Bernie smiled and quietly replied. “Well, you know, I thought about General Patton. He used coarse language, his manners weren’t pleasing to the ladies, and his language sure offended a lot of Christians. But we needed him to win a war. Trump is our General Patton, and we’re in a war we have to win.”
I believed then and I believe even more strongly now that our battle is against powers and principalities. And in a war between good and evil, we’ve seen the demons loosed and the masks come off. Evil forces aren’t even pretending to be civil anymore. I am on my knees for my children and grandchildren; I’m daily interceding in prayer for my beloved country, my cherished Christian heritage, and so much more. With all due respect and appreciation for the kind, well-spoken orators, it’s time to wake up and welcome our General Patton.

2 Ohio football players suspended for waving 'thin blue line, 'thin red line' flags at game

Even though they're no longer suspended, they should have never been suspended in the first place! very mad

Two football players at Little Miami High School have been placed back on active status after being suspended from practice for carrying a "thin blue line" flag and "thin red line" flag across the field before their game on Sept. 11.

School officials said in a statement Tuesday the students did not get permission from district officials to carry the flags on the field and that's why they were suspended from practice while they investigated the incident.

"School administrators must act when students break the rules, and these students were suspended from practice while the incident was investigated," Little Miami Local School Board of Education President Bobbie Grice said in a statement Tuesday.

Following the investigation, Grice said they found there were no political motivations behind the display of support for first responders, however they still broke the rules by not getting permission to carry the flags.

The players have been placed back on active status and the incident will be addressed as an Athletic Department Code of Conduct issue by coaching staff.

"Little Miami Local Schools is saddened to see this story take such a negative turn. The district enjoys an outstanding relationship with our local police and fire agencies," Grice said. He went on to reference an event they had later in the day in honor of the anniversary of 9/11.

"As the season continues, the only two flags that will come through the Little Miami football tunnel are the flag of the United States of American and the Little Miami spirit flag. The Board of Education supports this decision of district administration," Grice said.

The incident has since been shared all over social media, capturing the attention of President Donald Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr. who tweeted, saying "It's outrageous that these students were punished for celebrating our amazing police officers. They showed real courage standing up for what they thought was right."

What you see....and what I see

Borrowed from a friend!

You see Trump’s arrogance, I see Trump’s confidence. You see Trump’s nationalism, I see Trump’s patriotism. You hear Trump’s unsophisticated words, I hear Trump’s honesty. You see Trump’s racism, I see Trump’s words being misconstrued and twisted by the media daily to fit their narrative. You see Trump as a Republican, I see Trump as a Patriot. You see Trump as a dictator, I see Trump as a leader. You see Trump as an Authoritarian, I see Trump as the only one willing to fight for our freedoms. You see Trump as an unpolished politician, I see Trump as a breath of fresh air. You think Trump hates immigrants, I know Trump is married to an immigrant. You see Trump putting an end to immigration in America, I see Trump welcoming immigrants to America LEGALLY. You see Trump’s cages at the border, I see Obama’s cages at the border. You see Trump with a struggling economy, I see Trump with an amazing economy until the Democrats shut it down. You see the violence in the streets and call it “Trump’s America”, I see the violence in the streets of Democratic run cities who are refusing Trump’s help and call it “Liberal America.” You want someone more Presidential, I’m happy we have someone who finally doesn’t just talk the talk but actually walks the walk. You and I? We see things very differently.

Herman Cain dead after battle with coronavirus

Herman Cain, the former Republican presidential candidate and affable business magnate, died Thursday after being hospitalized for coronavirus, according to reports.

Cain, 74, first went to an Atlanta hospital for treatment on July 1, his staff had said.

His death was announced on Herman Cain's website and Facebook page.

"Herman Cain – our boss, our friend, like a father to so many of us – has passed away," the statement on his website said, noting there were "hopeful indicators" in recent days that he'd recover but adding: "And yet we also felt real concern about the fact that he never quite seemed to get to the point where the doctors could advance him to the recovery phase."

Newsmax, which Cain recently joined, also posted an obituary confirming he died Thursday.

Former Cain staffer Ellen Carmichael tweeted Thursday morning: "I’m very saddened to learn of the passing of my former boss, Herman Cain. I’m bracing for the cruelty online about how he deserved to get COVID and die because of his politics. We’re living in a dark time. But, they didn’t know him. I did."

Just days ago, Cain’s staff said in several tweets he was undergoing oxygen treatment but his organs and other systems were strong.

Cain, the co-chairman of Black Voices for Trump, attended the president’s rally in Tulsa without a mask on June 20.

Cain was diagnosed in 2006 with stage 4 colon cancer that metastasized to his liver and was given a 30 percent chance of survival. He successfully underwent chemotherapy and has been in remission since.

Cain, who successfully steered food chains like Burger King and Godfather’s Pizza to profitability and served as chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, shot to prominence in 2012 when he launched a bid to be the Republican presidential nominee. While he had a strong following among Tea Party activists, his campaign was derailed when he was accused of s*xual harassment and misconduct during his time as CEO of the National Restaurant Association in the late 1990s. He denied the claims but dropped out of the race.

Following his 2012 presidential bid, Cain launched T.H.E. New Voice, an advocacy group focused on tax reform, energy policy, and national security, and has become a frequent commentator on news outlets.
