Led Zeppelin 50 years ago...

On January 12th, 1969 Led Zeppelin's self-titled debut album was released.
That was 50 years ago. Their musical style and presence inspired millions.
I know my world changed from it.

Sadly, Zeppelin disbanded after the tragic 1980 death of their drummer, John Bonham.
Over the years, there have been reunions, re-released music sets, solo work and public appearances.

On nights when it's cold and I'm tired, If I hear an old Zeppelin song I sometimes get déjà vu of band rehearsals.

Led Zeppelin was my religion for a few of my teenage years.

I suppose I was fortunate living 5 minutes from The Red Lion ( a pub in London), where all the big names appeared as they were getting started, so I saw Led Zeppelin live there, I also saw them when they played at my friends university, my over riding memory of those occasions were that they were very loud laugh
sick That's the closest I can find to a green with envy emoji, Z. sigh
A friend of mine was working in a record store (after school) and got a pre-release a few weeks before. He claims to still have that album in his collection.

I known I wore one out from playing it so many (more) more times!

30 years ago, I put nearly 100 LP's in a storage shed. I have to check, but I think I've got unopened Led Zeppelin 1 and 2 in that stack. From the heat I'm sure they are unplayable... maybe of value to a collector if the original wrapping is intact.
