What is the purpose of life?

The purpose of life is whatever you want it to be.

Yes, we born, live, and die, but in living we develop our own purpose.

You could go with the "we are here to praise a god in this life, as a test to see if we can go on doing the same thing later for all eternity" This would seem a vain and pointless existence.
Why are we here, it is where we come from and we do not survive anywhere else. Beauty is a product of our minds and senses, not of the world itself.
Yes, we follow the same path as all other living things, born to live long enough to make another generation, marriage optional.
Why sickness and death? Life does not require forever to do its work and one form lives by the death of another, Life makes no favorites and death is the price of ever having lived.

For me, it makes more sense that there is no purpose or plan to the world we experience. It would seem the more simple explanation, with greater explanatory power.

Some would say you will know in an "End" and some say you will never know.
I say the question is moot.

I do not know your purpose, but mine is to live then die

We live in a simulated reality and we are all players in this game.

I don't waste this short life philosophising about why I am here.
I just accept that I am, and enjoy it.

We are here because we destroyed our prior planet

Well mankind is so self centered that he's destroying this one too
