One publisher told me from all my stories she like the war stories the best
I believe that this is because you get to read it through the eyes of a child, not a veteran this time.
Thank you for your service
Ms. Cappy's comment relative to Remembrance Day -
The U.S. established Memorial Day in May (the equivalent of Remembrance Day) following the U.S. Civil War (1861-65).
Following WWI, the U.S. recognized Nov. 11 as Armistice Day.
Following WWI (1954) the day's been recognized in the U.S. as Veterans Day - Honoring all Living veterans.
Hence Ms. Cappy's recognition of veterans.
Other Nov. 11 events ...
General George Patton was born this date in 1885 -
WWI hostilities ceased on his 33rd birthday.
Wife & I set it as our wedding day - Veterans Day precluded getting an officiant.
The date was reset to Nov. 18.
