Tal Bachman - She's So High

When the video was first released, MTV played this song a few times an hour.
Singer, Pete Burns was certainly over the top, but the part I like about the song is the sound of the keyboard synthesizer and electronic drums.
I'm unsure of the genre... British techno or something like that?

The Alan Parsons Project
Games People Play (Official Video)

I can't get enough of this song. Short, sweet, simple yet catchy melody or maybe it's Torine's thighs that bring me back!

Time for an update. THE COORS - BREATHLESS

Performed live in London, this video shows the normal video then replays a spotlight angle of each member.

Chaka Khan - Through the Fire

I'm in a good, but bluesy mood today listening to some YouTube music. Free is one of my favorite bands. Formed in 1968 and originally billed as a blues group from London.

The original members were:
Paul Rodgers on vocals, Paul Kossoff on guitar, Andy Fraser on bass, Simon Kirke on drums.

From their 1970 album Fire and Water, HEAVY LOAD is the last song on the first side:

Dave was one of the founding members of the rock group Traffic before going solo.

Dave Mason - We Just Disagree

One comment calls this song a masterpiece. Timeless...

KANSAS - DUST IN THE WIND

Sade - Soldier Of Love - Live

Simple melody, banging beat...

Coldplay - Clocks

From the movie Armageddon...
I Don't Want to Miss a Thing • Aerosmith

38 Special - Second Chance

U2 - Beautiful Day (Official Music Video)

I'm doing movie soundtracks today !!

Star Trek - First Contact

Pirates of the Caribbean

Titanic Theme - ''Hymn to the Sea''
One of the solo instruments in the soundtrack to Titanic is the Irish (Uilleann) pipes.
A very haunting instrument with amazing tonal coloration.

Songs you will get tired of..

Snake Farm. ) Hubbard
Airborne Toxic event. ) 2400
Rich men N.of Richmond.) Anthony.
MacArthur Park, written by Jimmy Webb. Covered by many, but first recorded Irish actor and singer Richard Harris and released in 1968.

HIDEAWAY from 1966 BLUES BREAKERS, John Mayall with Eric Clapton.
The song is a strong British rock/blues remake of Freddy King's version.

This record is often referred to as the Beano album. On the cover, Clapton is reading the comics magazine.

The Beatles - Something, written by George Harrison

Cyndi Lauper - Time After Time

Cyndi Lauper - True Colors

Great song, great voice. I didn't care much for the video.

Life in Pink

That was frightening. I think Tiny Tim covered the first song and had better vibrato.
William Royce Scaggs better known as Boz Scaggs
Lowdown live from 2004

Lowdown hit #3 on the US charts back in 1976
there is a few songs ( not many) witch makes me listen them without getting tired of them.
Here is one of them. It is about Siberian Taiga of fairy tales.
I first heard this song about 15 years ago and I believe it was created by college music & arts students in China. Originally written and recorded by Michael Wong. The girlfriend dies of leukemia in his video. I prefer this version where she goes through chemotherapy and lives.

For years I chased this video, but all my YouTube searches brought up many covers, some good and some not so good.

The 2 Chinese characters is pronounced Tong Hua (tónghuà) and translates to fairy tale.

If you find it a tear jerker, give me a like!
thumbs up
Billy Preston had an amazing musical career having recorded with the Beatles.
He's gone now and so is his duet partner Syreeta Wright. They appeared many times in live performances.

With You I'm Born Again

Limp Bizkit - Behind Blue Eyes - 2003 as a cover song to The Who's 1971 release.

The video features actress Halle Berry and contains scenes from the motion picture Gothika.
The original version of I'll Stand By You was with Chrissie and The Pretenders. Chrissie Hynde performs it solo live with a symphony version as backup. Her voice kicks it here!

Jethro Tull - Bourée on French TV, 1969

Bourée is a flute-dominated instrumental, based on Bach's 'Suite in E Minor for Lute', and a track on Jethro Tull's album 'Stand Up' (1969).
Personnel: Ian Anderson (flute, vocals), Martin Barre (guitars), Glenn Cornick (bass), Clive Bunker (drums)
Composer: J.S. Bach (arr. Ian Anderson)

For a very short time, one of my bands was rehearsing with a guy who played saxophone and flute. We started to learn this song but he was accepted with a music scholarship and had to leave for college.

Great tune, I never grow tired of hearing it.
Here's a favourite Chinese poem and musical arrangement - Ouran: By Chance
Studied by millions of Chinese high school students, but that in no way makes it less moving or meaningful.

I am a cloud in the sky,
By chance casting a shadow on the ripples of your heart!
You should not/Don’t be surprised,
Nor should you be overjoyed.
I will soon vanish without a trace.
You and I met in the dark sea;
You have your direction and I have mine.
Remember if you will,
Better yet if you forget
The spark we exchanged in our encounter.

The pinyin probably won't come out, given the text limitations here:
Wo shì tiankong li de yipiàn yún,
ou'er tóuying zài ni de bo xin!——
Ni bùbì yà yì,
gèng wúxu huanxi
zài zhuan shùnjian xiaomièle zongying.
Ni wo xiangféng zài heiyè dì haishàng,
ni you ni de, wo you wo de fangxiàng
ni jìdé ye hao
zuì hao ni wàngdiào
zài zhè jiaohuì shí hù fàng de guangliàng!
An actual Turn turn turn - and the wonderful voice of Judith Durham (recently deceased) - Seekers 1967

Wikipedia doesn't credit Judith Durham or the Seekers for Turn! Turn! Turn!
Oddly her maiden name is blocked by the word filter here, so I added a space.
Judith Mavis Co ck

Turn! Turn! Turn! (subtitled: To Everything There Is a Season) credits Peter Seeger.

The Limeliters may have covered it and Roger McGuinn was in the group for a short time.
Of course it was pete seeger, but I'd much rather listen to Durham's cover anytime!Don't worry, I won't be posting Little Boxes (which wasn't his song anyway) or anything else ticky tacky. Here's a song associated with Seeger, The Weavers, and Johnny Cash: Rock Island Line performed by Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee
... but of course the first version I heard was that of Lead Belly ... his timing is a bit weird, often gets ahead of himself, same in Jean Harlow!
The Knack - My Sharona

...running down the length of my thighs, Sharona
From 1978, it's Billy Joel - Honesty

This song was covered by Beyoncé in 2008.
