Icing on the cake... There are 2 versions of Don't Speak but only one made it to the album.

In this live show on Storytellers, They describe the 'happy' version before Tony broke up with Gwen. There's an obvious 'darkness' to the rewritten version.

The Wonders - That Thing You Do

This song has some significance in that I befriended a woman who was the office manager to a contracting firm I did business with. She recently had gone through a divorce, working two jobs and raising a teenage son. Her second job was selling skin care products and she was trying to put together a catalog using Excel. It was too difficult getting the images and text to format. I had some desktop publishing software and offered to typeset the project for her. After hours one weekend, her son was with his father and her invite turned into a chance of romance... for her but not for me.
I remember her clock radio coming on in the morning playing...

The all girl Japanese 3-piece rock group Stereopony was together only a short time before the members joinined other bands.
On tour they often had a guest guitarist who also appears in this video.

I did see the translated lyrics with only one English phrase "So I never let you go!!"

Prior to Emerson Lake & Palmer, Keith Emerson was in The Nice.
Here is their version of the song America

Another song with great significance to an old relationship.

The Japanese all girl group Stereopony - Stand By Me

They were together for a short time and move to other bands. Something I've noticed about Japanese girl bands - unstable
Great song, funny video
Foo Fighters - Learn To Fly

Amazing undertaking to have 1,000 musicians playing Learn To Fly in an attempt to get Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters to play in their country.

Over 60 million views from 2015.

From the Something / Anything? album, it's Todd Rundgren.

I've seen a handful of Todd's live performances and always return to the studio version!
I first heard this song in the 1982 movie Night Shift with Henry Winkler and Michael Keaton. They were in a disco and unaware the Vice Squad was working there.

I've heard from several sources that Hendrix management company frequently checks for unauthorized versions of Jimi's music and has YouTube take them down.

Enjoy it while you can as it may disappear soon.
The Dutch progressive rock band FOCUS formed in Amsterdam in 1969 by keyboardist, vocalist, and flutist Thijs van Leer, drummer Hans Cleuver, bassist Martijn Dresden, and guitarist Jan Akkerman.

Focus - Sylvia

Written by Leonard Cohen and released in 1984.
Covered by many and sometimes more energetic versions, but here's the original performer!

Bob Dylan - My Back Pages

A stage full of musical greats NEVER to be repeated.
Time for a girl group... Latin flavored Miami based Exposé hit the pop scene in the 1980's with a few hits. Singers Jeanette Jurado, Ann Curless, and Gioia Bruno were the main members with some other members that came & went over the years.

I got to see them live at an outdoor event where they sang to a prerecorded music track as that was typical for many acts that were mostly 'created' rather than performers who were already gigging.

Exposé - Seasons Change

Here is a live version and Jeanette's voice is much better than original recording!
Evanescence - Bring Me To Life

Bon Jovi - I'll Be There For You
