Hmm.. It would be good to contact you via WA for a further "bathroom coaching".. grin
But I don't think it's fair for my Giant.
So I will ask your suggestions here on blog, if you don't mind that is. cool
I did view your profile to see your contact requirement though. hole

I am sure it will.. Thanks Chat! head banger
Kal,
You are well underway with your project and really don't need any input from me.
Obviously, the travel comment was made in humor/humour.
I would expect anyone/everyone to realize that.
However, If you feel any of my comments weren't appropriate, please delete them.

Thanks!

thumbs up
I like the first picture but if I was to choose this as my own I would add a pop of coloured tiles where the toilet & shower is..Add candles & a couple of plants as accessories
I was serious but high five for always being a good sport when it comes to me laugh
Its not about your bathroom Kalp conversing

I'm Claustrophobia and with ALL white..
I'd definitely feel the walls closing in uh oh

I could send you my toothbrush to help with cleaning ....
apparently it seems I've a very BIG one which may come in useful roll eyes laugh
laugh laugh Merce, but how big must you think my toothbrush is giggle
my holder is a much smaller version of the plant pot ..
wink
tongue
Oh dear. Come here, I'll give you a biiiig hug! hug

Thanks but no thanks.
I will use my Giant's toothbrush instead, whenever he makes me sad. snooty laugh
My Giant like the last picture, the one with circle pattern.
Tbh at the very beginning he suggested me to go plain white. I told him I wanted something with accent.
However, after I showed the renovation progress photo to my dear someone, my Giant was right all along. I have to go plain white. playball

That was my plan. blues

I use candles only when the light goes out. laugh
As for the plants, I really like the idea. It's just from my experience, they don't really live longer in the room..crying
Good evening beautiful hug

That first pic I chose as you did is too masculine..Maybe you can put that to Giant..A pop of colour is needed on that narrow space behind the toilet..As I was mowing my lawns today I thought about that pop of colour needed so it doesn't look too much like a bachelor's pad so to speak laugh

After much thought as I was zipping around with my lawnmower I came up with glass mosaic for that pop of colour

Here are a few I found on Google..There are plenty more to see but just putting a few pop of colours here for that background behind the toilet

Hi Merc. bouquet
It's 23 minutes pass midnight there now, yes?
So good night? good midnight? good early morning? confused laugh

Can't agree with you more. But for the first bathroom, I have made up my mind. blues

giggle
Kalpataru is now imagining how Merc still thought about the pop of color of my bathroom while lawn mowing. joy cartwheel

Gosh Merc, they are beautiful!! love
(although the last one looks more of beautifully scary to me uh oh)

But most tiles in the first bathroom have been installed now.
Maybe.. juuuuuust maybe.. I'll see whether it will make the room looks gloomy or not if I install one or two colored tiles for the wall behind the toilet and the shower in the second bathroom. hole

Installing the floor tiles will start tomorrow. banana
We usually install the floor first so the perimeter rough cuts are covered by the wall tiles.
Installing the floor after the walls requires more precise cutting to minimize the grout lines.
The good thing about that is you can easily change the flooring without affecting the walls.
thumbs up
I'm usually in bed at 9:30pm or earlier so nope I was sound asleep well before midnight laugh

It's after 10pm now but that's because I had to catch up with a few things..Past my bedtime yawn

The last picture is a bit out there but I felt like putting a bit out there on here laugh

In saying the above I would of loved to of seen all of that design from top to bottom if you know what I mean

I think of all sorts of things when I mow my lawn..laugh

Kal,
I don't see any voids or spacing between the tiles.
Are they applying grout as they lay tile?
Going great guns hug

I see a mans arm is he single? daydream

Keep updating please & Chat has made a couple of good points in regard to the work in progress

teddybear
The grout was applied after the tile cement was dry.

Thank you. I am crossing my fingers head banger

Renovation Day 7

Around here, they use 'thin-set' tile mastic premixed that comes in 5-gallon pails. From that the tile installer will add some dry mix that is like plaster, so it hardens quicker. There is no reason to rush the process as the mix gives ample time to set tiles and tap into place.

The floors and walls with newly laid tiles are marked off so no one can touch them for at least 1 day. The grout doesn't get applied until the end, 2 or 3 days later as often there is some shrinkage in the mastic. Should they rush the process, you will see cracks or separation in the grout and they will have to return to touch-up the grout.
Of course he has a wife & kids..Story of my life giggle

Looking so cool Kal..I know the messy part is annoying but it will be well worth it hug kiss
I have lost track of the renovation days. sad flower
That's why I got out of the bathroom renovation business...
