online, not sure what to tell ya there...put yourself out there in the forums and blogs perhaps...but if you are shy online too then you probably are at a disadvantage, unless your personality shines through

I have gone from being shy and reserved to being somewhat of a chatterbox

In real life there may be that person to drag you from your shell -- on-line you have to sell yourself
