Most people don't look exactly like they look in photos. Did they portray themselves differently on purpose or it just happened that way?
If that person was deliberately dishonest, that's one thing, if your all about looks, that's another!
Hardly anyone photographs well unless done by a professional in a studio. It is rare to actually take a 'snapshot' of someone that shows up well. Too many factors.
If there is a 'huge' age difference in appearance or 'major' differences in the actual face then something is wrong. Go with your 'gut feeling'. If the person's appearance makes you uncomfortable, be honest and at least tell them. You would be doing them a disservice in not telling them; if however you actually like the person's personality, tell them also and if you need time to really think and to decide which of the factors really appeal to you, tell him. Then tell him your decision, preferably face to face.
And always tell the truth as you see it; the operative word here is 'see', be it on the outside or the inside...
@ ad
well said..
Most people do not look EXACTLY like their pictures since their will always be a bit of a difference in person. I always tell men that I keep my photos updated that is I take new ones about ever 6 months and they are obviously not glamor shots or edited...just very basic. How much more honest can I be then that?
I've met some women that looked like they
ate their former self.
@ jim lmao!
@ lana no need for photoshop,, real is the best option
Xx
Authentic / Genuine / Honest - the only way to go - beginning to end.
As for pictures - people look different when they are in motion and in 3 dimensions ... otherwise, there shouldn't be surprises.
Personally I we should have paused on the honor and cherish section ... perhaps put together a focus group ... make sure that the things like respect weren't overlooked.
