Maniac pilot restrained in-flight

It appears yesterday that a Jetblue pilot experienced
some sort of strange "panic attack" while in-flight
from New York to Las Vegas.

His co-pilot locked him out of the cockpit
and a passenger restrained him with a choke-hold
after he started screaming about Iraq, Iran and
a bomb being on board and then making a move
towards the emergency exit.

The passengers tied up the pilot with seatbelts,
plastic straps and even the belts from their pants.

Here's the full story;

I remember having several terrific flights banana
as I joined & re-joined the 'mile high' club wink
But, I also recall a couple of bad flights too.

I remember once flying back from Florida
while I was still an undergrad in college
after 'spring break'.

The turbulence was so bad that a priest on
board gave everyone 'last rites'.
While quite a few women & children were crying
or screaming, I worked on a term paper that was
due the next day. laugh
However, that was the worst flight I ever had.

Oh yeah, once I sat next to a Jehovah's witness
on a 3 hour flight, who prayed out loud 'for me'
the whole flight, because I told him I'm an atheist. laugh
That was somewhat annoying to me and the other passengers.

I recall taking a prop. plane from Kansas City to Manhattan
Kansas my first year of undergraduate school.
The turbulence was pretty bad then too.
Indeed, as we departed the plane, I swear,
I literally saw the pilot kiss the ground. kiss
laugh

Those were the worst flights I ever had.
What was the worst one(s) you ever had ? dunno
cheers

Yeah, I think those that have panic attacks
should not fly planes, ESPECIALLY commercially.
I think the medical screening was ineffective.
laugh A blind pilot would likely have been less disruptive than that guy.
