The ninth wife by Amy Stolls ...is another great read revealing the life of a polygamous wife in the Mormon faith .
The Yacoubian building by Alaa Al Aswany....... a great read of life in Cairo , by an Egyptian author.

Very rarely I can find a book that I really like now.

So, I can only recommend Orhan Pamuk for the moment.

But, I have read so many novels that my mind is a bit overloaded with that kind of literature, now I reread Michael Talbot's The Holographic Universe. I find it always new and interesting.
Are you two in love ? Guadal and Firas .......sounds like it .....,,
be good if you wrote in English we can all understand you two .......
I am just a little disappointed actually , because between you both I don't know which one is more handsome or desirable... or which one the greater intellectual........ or which one the greater gentleman...... anyway best you both go and do your flirting with the cognoscente where you really belong ......
Mind you I do get excited when I see you both comment ... it gives me such a rush , I relish the attention , as you well know Firas you big brave Lion of Brabant....... Saskia kisses to you both all over you....x x x x xx x x x x xx x x

American Prometheus - the triumph and tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer.

Very detailed and a fabulously in-depth look at one of the great minds of the 20th century and a wonderful exposition of what America does to its real heroes.

Books and movies can compliment each other if the movies are done well.

I have recently watched Pride and Prejudice but have never been able to read the book. But, I have both watched and read Atonement - In this case the movie inspired me to read the book.

You are right Zandaar, although I am always a but doubting if I should watch a movie after having read the book... But always curious :)
Dear Saskia, ( Or should I say Goddes of love ), anyway the last book that had an impact on me was " Sterling cycle Devices ) By Colin West . Yes you would be bored to tears if you read it, but to an engineer like me it was enlighening . I'm a strong advocate of alternate energy and the solar aplications of these devices are quite promessing . Sorry it doesn't posses great tragedy or passionate romance in it, just a way to help save the plannet . By the way your latest picture is aluring to say the least .
Oh thanks Frankie ....... how are you today love ?
Desperate Passage about the Donner Party. Very good book and non fiction. Will make you stop and think.
