I AM GOING TO CAIRO NEXT WEEK

I love Cairo , and I hate Cairo .... Do you feel that for some places in the world? I don't know if I am looking forward to going there or dreading it.
Egyptian men are very romantic, smooth talking honey lips honey tongued .... except the taxi drivers they drive me nuts.
I think I love egypt , na i think i hate it..... oh well at least its easy to find true love there , with a little extra tip they will tell you they love you and really mean it.
When you rent a car always best to pick the most damaged one in the lot, because it will be getting more ding's in it thats for sure , you can't drive in Cairo without getting a ding in your rent a wreck . One of the best things you can buy in Cairo is lingerie ... truth ... its sexy , verrry innovatively designed , I don't know which country makes the best lingerie Yemen or Egypt , its a comedy show just looking in the windows of the shops ...at least you can have a good laugh.
Then you sometimes have the fanatical religious guys who come up to you and spit out the word SHARMUTTA in your face .... Then there are others who really appreciate shapely ladies with blonde hair.... Thank god for them ..
They make nice beer in Egypt... really good beer. STELLA , great beer. They cook great fish in Egypt..... wonderful fish roe stew...did you ever try it ? Im remembering all the things i like in Egypt now , I think I love it there... saskia

Cairo if I go there it's the Valley of the Kings for me. Also would try to see the dig that Dr.Zahi Hawass is doing there.
Also would take in Luxor.
Do take some time and take in a bazaar or two won't you?

Take me with you! Lol. Will you see the Nile river and visit the Giza Pyramids? Sounds, like a fun and exciting experience! For there is alot of history there, that even goes back to biblical times. How interesting!

Gordi , Dr Zahi Hawass is quite a controversial figure in Egypt .. He was close to Mubarak , so he's not in good favour with everyone there. But without him things in the field of antiquities would have been much different . He has and is always doing his best to allow Egypt's exposure of more treasures to be available to the public. Are you talking of the excavation of Luxor? Thats an amazing and incredible feat ... They relocated/ rehoused a large part of the population not far from the temple , and exposed not far under the streets the original ancient roads with statues.. I saw that last time i was there .. He does some great work that man. saskia

Hi serendipity... I am not going on a real holiday this time , I will stay in Cairo with my daughter , and grandchildren they go each year there for EID , which will be on friday....Her husband is Egyptian , so thats the connection .
Itsa great country to visit and quite mind boggling ... The Nile is an amazing river , Especially if you travel by felucca , Aswan , gorgeous...saskia
