CASTRIES ST LUCIA .....

I sailed there in February on a yacht on my last trip in the caribbean . I arrived in castries on February the 22 nd which is St Lucia's independence day .
The main church in the centre of town was filled with school children and their teachers . The minister was welcoming guests as well as the Lady governor general Dame Pearlette to the service.
I was wooed into the church by the music ....
The thing i noticed most was the children's hair, how beautifully braided it was on the girls heads, the colourful ribbons threaded through the braids all of the national colours , yellow , blue and black. I took photos of the children they were so delightful.
I always think of my day in church in Castries , St Lucia seeing all the delightful children there fidgeting , singing in the church on their national day on february 22............ . when I see our own bible lady from the same place , here on the blogs with her bible quotes....
I wonder where she was on that day, was she in that church perhaps ? Am I the unbeliever , perhaps closer to the bible lady than I first thought . Did our paths cross that day I wonder ?

Saskia, It depends on which Bible lady you are referring to . The one that comes and leaves without saying hello, or the one with a persecution complex . . . confused

Dear Snoopy , Let me say that I am friends with Saskia and as such I am priviledged to information that the regular members are not . I will admit that it would under different circumstances be a nice idea, however at the moment is is not to be .Sorry I can not go into detail but my confidence was given and to that I am bound . Thank you for your help anyway . . . handshake

Don`t know much about st Lucia... I did know a guy called st Halvar once...cool wine Hi Saskia!hug
Franky, this makes me sad. You two would surely make a cute couple, and you two would make a fair intellectual match.

I will pursue this issue no more, out of respect for yours and her privacy!
Snoopy, Well at the moment it is not to be . I will admit that she is a very intelegent and beautiful woman and It would comliment anyone to be with her . I also thank you for thinking of me in this regard . Perhaps in another life . . .cheers

HEY, HEY, HEY NOW!

I love the Lord with my whole heart and soul but I respect your wishes not to be preached to. No mental problems here!
If she was there and you did happen to meet her, it would have been a rather peculiar and awkward meeting I imagine, what with her dislike for comments and all.
Hey Saskia, how are you doing?

Perhaps, only God knows weather you were in the same room with her? Did you look behind your seat? Lol. Either way,you sound like you had a good time, and had a wonderful, colorful, and delightful day at Castres St Lucia's church. I'm happy for you!cheering banana dancing
Hi Serendipity nice to see you again on my blog .... i thought you'd be impressed that i was in a church ... i quite like to go to church , just to see what its like , again , of course i spent much of my youth in church , i guess i was over exposed and got very bored with it not knowing really hat was the purpose of attending .
But that was a special day, and when i get the know how to attach photos here ill do it because i took some nice photos of the kids there.

Hey Sas,interesting to hear of your church background growing up as a youth. I remember never going to church as a child, for my mother was not religious though her mother was a devoted Catholic. I know it sounds like a surprise for those who know I believe in God! For people generally say that I believe in God because my parents brought me up that way or that they made me go to church. Quite the opposite is true.Lol.

In my youth I always believed that God existed, but I didn't believe in Him,in the sense of trusting my life to Him as my personal Savior.

For I didn't find God in religion(Catholic church)but in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Only when I realized that I was a sinner, did I realize my need for a Savior.

I have a unique story(personal testimony) as to how I found God. Perhaps, I can share it on a blog one of these days?

Thanks for sharing your experiences in your younger days,as well as your stay in Castries St. Lucia.

And yes, you were right. I was impressed! Lol. God bless!applause cheering
