Meth, Destroyer of lives and Families....

This blog is dedicated to my oldest son, who is in State correctional facilities because of his involvement in Meth. It has broken my heart, wounded his children, and touched so many lives. I wasn't going to write about my son, but have decided that i know most people here will understand as life happens to us all and we are all interconnected somehow, someway. So, my heart hurts with the pain and lonelieness that my son experiences as he writes me and I receive his letters gladly but they make me weep so.

C...am very sorry for the pain that not only you feel but that of your son as well. I lost a good friend to meth...he lost everything and eventually his life.

i am actually almost glad my son ended up in prison instead of dead.......not a good consolation prize, but the lesser of two evils....he should get out in about four years for good behavior as he already had a year and a half in county...

At first sight it may weigh heavily that he knew what it can do.

But this gets relative because they all knew and know what they did and do without consequences, or maybe some money paying if at all.
E.g. using Agent Orange in Vietnam. Contergan in Germany. So many examples in all branches of society.

Dear Calli, I do sicerely hope that when he gets out he will finally realize the mistake he made . I also hope that he is in rehab while he serves his sentence . I do also think that it is an irony that you wish him to be in prison instead of dead . Some choice !

Calli, the lonelieness that he feels now might just be what he needs to get his head cleared of everything and allow him to think over what his life has been and where the meth would have taken him. This could be a positive experience for him so keep supporting him and keep loving him. He needs you and his real friends. Things will work out.
