Simple Joy.
Once in a while, be it in a boring day or a harsh one, we sometimes need to be reminded to be grateful for the life we had. I am blessed to have 4 adorable kids, who do this to me in a least expected way and time.Monday has always been hectic to me. Two lazy days on weekend, make the list-to-do long on Monday. But being a mom does not have a break. So when kids went home from school I rushed making them lunch while thinking of the long-undone list.
Just before having our lunch, the youngest, a 4 year old boy, said this to me:
Thank you Mom, for cooking this for us.
Looking at his cute face with big bold eyes staring at me, I lost my word. Thank you Son, for giving me this simple joy.

My simple joy is a memory from last summer. My step nephew (4 then) got upset because he fell down a few times (didn't hurt himself), and felt bad that he's not capable of all the things his older siblings are. He ended up locking himself in a bathroom to be alone.
Now my oldest nephew (8 at the time) took it upon himself to go and talk to his step brother. After a few minutes, he came out in search of a pen and paper. He told me he was going to listen and write down everything Cole said.
I am currently in college for psychology. My nephew's actions were yet another reminder of just how much potential children have and how powerful a good listener can be as both boys exited the bathroom not long after and continued playing quite happily. Kids are amazing. :)
Nanti kalo udah ketemuan cerita ya, yang diberantemin apa? Loh hahaha have a blast holiday ya, hope you two have a wonderful time
