Philosophical musings.
Great thinkers throughout history have posed hypothetical questions. From Plato and Aristotle through to Einstein, who actually performed whole 'thought experiments' this way.My friend and I were discussing just such a question this afternoon, over a game of chess.
Bloody hell! You know you're getting older when your Sunday afternoons consist of chess and hypotheticals.
You do, however, know that you've still got some growing up to do when THIS is the hypothetical.
Would you rather:
1. Have a s*xual interest in monkeys
2. Have everyone you've ever known firmly and unshakably BELIEVE that you have a s*xual interest in monkeys, when in fact you don't?
I won't prejudice your answers by treating you to our highly intellectual findings before you've had a chance to mull it over.....

Physiologically speaking, it is well know that ones thoughts mirror ones interests.
Just in case you're right and "Physiologically speaking, it is well know that ones thoughts mirror ones interests", can I just say......
....it was my mate's idea.
I see we're all wise and grown-up here. Carry on!
