HELP PLEASE (musically inclined)

Is there anyone familiar with the piano. I am learning this song which i have put my own little twist to it.
I have adjusted my mic and tuned the piano. It sounds terrible... what am I doing wrong?

Zebra Keys is probably one of the best sites for piano lessons. Each of the lessons are professionally written and cleanly laid out so that they’re very easy to follow. Best of all, an interactive piano keyboard is built right into the lesson articles so that you can practice what you’re learning directly on the lesson page.
Theres no sunshine when ur gone, Geez for a terrible person ur awfully good. I loved it...applause applause thumbs up
something about where the mike is ......its getting to much vibb from the piano ....other than its like the damper peddle needs to be adjusted ...or you could speed it up the tempo a bit ...but without a sound studio , I'd almost say the piano sounds a little flat .....but it sounds like just how that old piano sounds ...maybe you need a baby grand piano or a organ like a lawory

this piano has a sound that would be perfect for your song

try putting the mike inside a cardboard box ....wave
applause very good thumbs up you might find this site helpful with mic placement
I can't help because I play the drums. BUT! It sounds very good to me. The tempo is a little fast, but that's always the musicians choice.

Here's the original so you can make a comparison.

Nice chorus rendition!
Cannot hear or see a thing, but I know there is no sunshine when I'm here...uh oh
Leah, is that an electric piano?
Thankyou everyone your feed back is very important
Very out of sync. confused

Perhaps what the others have suggested...mic placement...hmmm
@ leahkathrine - I know that there are some left-handed instruments about but this is the first time I've seen a left-handed piano, Girl

The problem sounds like you could be out half an octave or so..... conversing .... hug wine
I am sure it mostly has to do with mic placement. I have done some research into this and mostly you have to play with where you put the mic and what type of piano it is.
@ Leahkathrine - It's hard to see in the clip if you are using an digital keyboard, if you are it should have a pitch bend control, adjusting the pitch of a note, this may need adjustment also, Girl..... hug wine
The camera is pointed at a mirror, isn't it? ... It threw me off a bit when I saw your 'right' hand playing the low notes. laugh

Okay... I hear the sound distorting on the louder notes... I think others have it right when they talk about microphone placement (it needs to be further from the piano). Or ... It may also be the microphone itself. Generally distortion happens when the gain on the microphone is too high for the sound coming at it. If you can adjust the gain, you'll need to set it to handle the loudest part of the song. The rest will be softer but none of it will be distorted.

Your piano playing is good (at least it's better than mine :) ... dancing
Regardless of all the technical advice many may offer you I think you are amazing!! I do not know how to play piano so I think you do just fine!! Perhaps a slower tempo would help and let it flow naturally.
please play yet another oldie ( sacrifice / elton john...hotel california...) next time for me.

good work. keep it up.
hotel California one of my favorites I've been trying to conquer that soon.
Can you play any Styx or Yes? that would awesome. Or better yet for a truly amazing keyboardist to learn a bit from check out this guy
The piano needs tuned up. Has that sound from a saloon in the Wild West, aside from that, I think it was a grand performance. wine
