The Interconnectedness Of All Things

"A human being is part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

- Albert Einstein

"The Interconnectedness of all things: Buddhists have always known it, and physicists now confirm it. Nothing that happens is an isolated event. The more we label something, the more we isolate it. The wholeness of life becomes fragmented through our thinking."

- Eckhart Tolle

Maybe we prefer to isolate ourselves because it is kind of scary to think that being part of the whole your thoughts and deeds affect everything around you. dunno
If we all "separated" ourselves, instead of becoming aware that we are all ONE, there would not be an Evolution of humanity, but a "devolution"?...doh
There is a "Collective Consciousness" where all our ideas, our thoughts, our knowledge are collected and anybody can access to at any time. This is why we should always be very careful of all our thoughts!scold professor wave
it makes me think of a story of issue's like you can fly here one way if you are rich ....but if not ...you get to fly on 6 planes with the most uncomfortable airplane seats ever made ... banana
wow very inteligent blog i have always believed that everything is connected i didnt think as far as the entire universe however i have always thought that everything here on earth is some how connected .
I believe that Socrates44 Eckhart Tolle has made a big difference in my life, especially with perceptions. It is a fact that our bodies give off energy. I also see correlations between astrology and peoples' personalities. I wonder if our personal energy is not connected to the universe, as Einstein proposes.

I certainly believe in karma...what we give, we receive. I like referring to "old sayings." The one that says, "you will attract people like yourself" comes to my mind. If you are a positive person, you will attract positive people, and of course the opposite. I see this in everyday life.
I believe those statements to be true although life as we know it can be grand and if we want the connections we should work towards that.
We do eventually go back to were we came from but for now Socrates life with all its faults is good for this stage at least, for me that is.teddybear peace yay
BECOMING

We are in a continuous state of becoming with our environment.

I am becoming that tree just as that tree is becoming me. It took in the carbon dioxide that I exhaled which became part of it, and through photosynthesis, converted it to oxygen, which I inhaled, becoming part of me. I am the tree and the tree is me.

I am becoming that insect, that bird, that animal and other persons. I breathe in the air they gave up. Air that was part of them is now part of me, just as the air that I exhaled is now part of them.

Earth is becoming me and I am becoming the earth. It becomes me through the food I eat which comes from the earth, directly or indirectly; I become the earth through matter that leaves my body, waste or otherwise, which returns to the earth to become the earth.
Hi Minerva
How does one access this "Collective Consciousness"? You said it is accessible to anybody.
