EE4 - Love, Kindness, and Charity
Where do you get yours?--
From Others -
Many people look to those around them and hope to feel loved, to have kindness extended to them and to receive charity (I'm thinking of this as good intentions and forgiveness).
Receiving these things from people we respect feels good, doesn't it?

From Association with Groups (including Religion) -
Some groups are good at fostering these characteristics in their members. To love each other... to be kind... to be charitable with our time, resources and good feelings.

From Ourselves -
Do you feel love for yourself? Hopefully you do... Do you treat yourself with kindness? Do you forgive yourself when mistakes happen... when you don't meet your own standards?

Emotional Energy ... preserve it, share it, create it.

An important point... we need to approve of ourselves... to like who we are... to be content that we are who we should be... at least for today :)
We may desire to be something more... it's healthy to do this... but today we are fine just as we are... and while we're here... we'll take a step towards that better tomorrow.
That's the way I think of this...
If we want to be around someone who supports and encourages us... well, we're always around ourselves... seems like a good place to start.
(Key point... We shouldn't destroy our emotional energy and then look to someone else to replace it.)
There are different kinds of love and different ways to give it. Charity is a great thing though some charity is only provided for other profit than for making people feel better. Like for instance certain religious groups only aiming to gain many members.
Maybe I will have more thoughts tomorrow. It's late in my place now.
The source of emotional energy ... as I see it ... is nature. The beauty we find in nature and the animals and the people ...
I'm happy to hear your garden is putting on a display!
Oh... and behind nature, is God of course... the source of the source. Though for some, it just goes back to nature... and for this topic... that may be enough.
You've gained something ... keep it and share it... value it and don't let it drift away.

I agree ... emotional energy gets "used" too often ... I need to get to rehearsal but will come back to this when I can devote more time... the way people use emotional energy to manipulate ... yes, an import topic to think about.

My further thoughts: Emotional energy differs in quality and quantity either if it is love to family and friends ( based mainly on destiny), love to a person we choose ( based mainly on trust), love to society ( based on our experiences in it), love to ourself ( based on selfsufficiency), love to God ( based on the status of our soul). If we have had any bad experiences within one of these kinds of love this can hinder us to act positively with our emotional energy towards others. I guess we have all got hindered in some way.
Let us still try everything to live with positive energy!
Then there is no worry concerning expectations.
Can a person love without expecting anything back in s deepest soul? I would have to think about this more,,
