Very Sad News
Are you sitting down ?
You might want to get comfortable.
Despite our best attempts to manipulate things
and get the best outcome possible, all that is simply for naught,
as mother nature is much more powerful than me (and frankly, we).
Instead I (we) have to resign our position and try to regroup
and carry on.
Although we might want to be, the bottom line is that we simply
are not in control of outcomes.
We can try. Indeed, we can work towards improving our odds,
but we are definitely not totally in control.
That is the way of life, earth, and likely the universe.
(*disclaimer - I have never actually visited anywhere else in the universe, except for the planet known as... earth).
That being said, I regret to inform you,
that at about 4 pm today I got some very sad news.
***sigh***
I'm glad I was sitting down at the time.
My softball game was rained out tonight.
Oh, I don't know what to do.
How can I go on ?
Wait, I know.
I'll have the last piece of pie.
It's a miracle !!
I hope you were able to overcome your challenges today,
well, like reading this blog.
