How was your childhood

well mine has got me thinking, was I a unwanted child ?? my bath toys were a toaster and a radio, and I was always told {strangers have the best candy}.. they were always playing jokes on me,, one day when I came home from school they had moved

So how was your childhood,,i hope better than mine .. just a little saying to get everybody to laugh and enjoy the blogs...I really had a good childhood,my father died when I was 12, but my mother did a great job at raising 3 kids..my hat is off to single moms who make a home a happy one

but I am still scared of bath tubs

Ah yes my mom did an amazing job too too raising us kids on her own after my dad died. She even went out to work for the first time in her life, and refused a govement grant, saying there are those who need that money more than we do. I love you mom!!!

Hi there Wenever

I was lucky and had a lovely childhood... Very loved and spoiled by my 3 big brothers.

Money was scarce but love and affection was in abundance

When you can say you thought and still do think your mum and dad were THE best ever then you know your childhood was HaPPy!!!! I was very blessed and have wonderful memories.

Feel very sad for those who did not have a cherished childhood

every child deserves to feel precious

I know my kids think I'm an amazing om too, my daughter was in grade 11 when my husband passed. Lukkily my 2 sons had their degrees already, and I only had her to worry about, but we remained very close. I can say I have great kids, just sad to say my middle son passed last year as well,,,but life goes on and we cherich the memories,,,,I'm sure you are an amazing father too silly man!

I do think single mums and dads need a special mention too like you and Val said. They are AMAZING!!! Battling to raise a family on their own. They deserve all the praise for doing a great job

I had a very happy childhood.

Great parents! At an early age, my dad taught me the value of work which I never forgot. My dad also was a part time musician and taught me about music. I learned to be a singer because of him. My mom taught me about love!

Thank you wenever, I always said if I didn`t turn out reasonable it would have been a crime as my mother was the salt of the earth... so I ought to have turned out somewhat decent, not that I think I am, but I had a wonderful example to follow. Those who turn out amazing and never have that roll model are who I take my hat of to.

Val, I slept quiet a bit today. It was my day off.. no children to look after and no chores to do for myself or others so could have some `Me time`... which is why I have spent some time on here

Wallops, no wind, no clouds, blue sky, and just the fireball in the sky, beautiful, my favorite place, you can lie on your back and float, close your eyes, nothing matters, nothing, its like life doesn't exist, for that time, a feeling, no words, love it so much, so yes I swam, drove out, 20 minutes from home and swam maybe only 4 kms cuz just wanted to float on my back and close my eyes, and I did, wow, no better gift for me and YESSSSSSSSS would be so kool to swim with you, that would be nice, im not a good swimmer either, but together, we could keep each afloat and tell stories, and giggle and swim or not, float and say this is sweet
