Remember Me Music

What music would you have them play at your funeral if you had a choice?

I think I'd have All Right Now by Free.

Can someone put that up here for me. applause

Hey DC... are you changing your business from cupcakes to the song upload-er? confused confused you are very good in it.

Long ago in another life I went to a funeral on the island .
The funeral took 9 days and night befroe it was all over
On the day we lay this man to rest almost every-one from the village came to say good bye,

After for 9 days and night everyone from the village came togather to tell stories about this man life we sang many songs and cook all night, the next day we would start again.

This an old tradition to bring the spirit of a dead person over.
Now a days this tradition can only befond deep inside the Island.

Funerals here in Nedtherland takes about 2 hours then its all over...
Flyjames, African funerals can be like the island one you describe - roast an ox and everyone, friends, neighbours, family, gather to celebrate the person's life for (I think) up to a week.

But usually it is just a time to say goodbye and close the door on a life that was hopefully long and enjoyed. We should love life, and quit it knowing we gave it our best shot.
Vivian you are rightapplause

Yet there is some thing happening when stories and songs are told and songs are sang for the person that has passed away.

From the stories and songs comes a Legion where in a person
lives on into legion..

But you are right a funeral is a celebratetion of the closing of a life book..

yay

My dear late mum asked for 'I believe I can fly' by R Kelly

It was never played because my sister had other plans. But for me that song really sums up my mum. Good choice mum. teddybear
