A blog for men.

Dont waste your time and money on gifts, chocolates or flowers. The modern woman has no need of these frivolities.

Womens expectations these days go far beyond the considerations of yesteryear. What was once considered a romantic gesture is now expected as the "norm".

But do not despair, under that crusty shell of feminism there lies dormant a softer side that is yearning for recognition.

A birthday card is always obligatory yet what is more important than anything are the compliments of reassurance.

For example...
If a woman dresses nicely.. tell her so
If a woman looks ravishing.. tell her so
If a woman smells nice.. tell her so
If a woman does something for you... say thank you
A woman knows that you love her, but tell her so.... regularly

Words cost nothing but the rewards can be great.

I wouldn't be interested in chocolates or flowers....and even less in a birthday card.

No complaints here. I am hugely relieved to have the knotty wine problem taken care of. help
I love an unexpected gift. It doesn't have to be expensive, it just meant he thought of me when he wasn't with me.
It could be a packet of mints from the petrol station shop, but it meant he thought of me when he was there.heart beating
Zigackly. I just got a gift from an old beau at a time when he had a lot of very complicated issues in his life and I'd have expected be the very last thing on his mind. Unexpectedly touched.

Er, being unexpectedly touched in a more real sense is also rather fun ... laugh
