Frightening!
Not having bought a computer for the last 15 years, its not surprising the machine up and died on me, so, splashed out on a new one. With the latest operating system the days of having to "load" software and personalise user settings are a thing of the past, this machine instantly found my mailbox, friends, favourite websites, in fact, everything that I use a computer for.
Whats frightening is that if this machine can so easily adapt itself to my usage, then what access do the "powers that be" have to all my personal details and movements?
Perhaps I'm just paranoid!

Noooooooooooooo.
So who does keep all that info we diligently complete on census forms, driver licences, passports? And why, if not to be there when we need it?
I don't know about there, bus census info here is not shared with any other agency. And not released for 100 years.
That is the only way they will get people to complete them. They have a good name which they intend to keep.
Unlike other government agencies
Innit quiet here on CS this morning?
Well, ignoring census forms, then. I don't really see why all that passport info has to be given every single time. You'd think in this day and age, with every detail of our lives stored by Big Brother as Sola found, that once I give my full name on line my passport details should come up complete for me to check and either amend or agree. After all, I reported the passport stolen to the correct officials. Applying for a replacement or new one is hardly a bolt out of the blue.
Surely - knowing it was stolen
supplying a NI number, which the thief would not know
paying by card held IN THE NAME OF THE APPLICANT
posting it to the official address
is fair security?
A well-regulated world, like the one I will run when I become ruler of the world, wouldn't have a problem.
Surely.
Are you sure there isn't a bit of Germany in you somewhere?
It's a lovely sunny day outside, and I'm doing laundry indoors
Sorted.
Next?
I shall too, then.
Didnt see the point of hanging around as there were so few people online and anyway, you all seemed to enjoy chatting amongst yourselves.
And even worse, forced us to do housework
