What's the difference?

Someone told me that if you put up a pic on a dating site then your chances are 80% but if you don’t then your chances are 20%. Actually, I think 20% is not too bad but that’s besides the point; 80% of nothing is nothing and 20% of nothing is nothing; so what’s the difference whether you have a pic or not?

To me, there's no difference.

I've written to men without any profile pic but they turned out to be nice.

Of course, I'd get to see how they looked like after few messages wink
Its a picture of my. ..ahem... that they are really after, not a happy snap of my face.
I view profile with photos out of curiosity . I look at the photos , they say a picture paint a thousand words . I even read some of the them not all , but when I come across a profile without a photo most of the time I just pass it by , your choice by the way , ( no photo ) , if you view my profile obviously I would check out that mystery person . I do not know if I alone thinks like this , but the thought always cross my mind , if this person is on games , if they are hiding something you know , and at the sane time the reason could be so stupid, just my thoughts.

I agree if we are here ONLY for blog and forum. But I suppose if we're interested in meeting someone in real life, a picture is necessary. The picture doesn't have to be shown on our profile as we can always send it privately. (jmo) wine
Pat, I went into your profile, and there was no picture of your ahem blues

Mark, to me pics don't matter at all.
I have never dated a man with a pic up to date.
I'm not saying I wouldn't laugh , but I prefer to get to know them for their personality and sense of humour first.
I guess that I why we are here trying to figure out the difference , you know maybe someone would come up with the right answer.
Everyone have a valid reason why they do something . I supposed and personally I do not care what you do with your photo before it is uploaded , the only mystery I like is , trying to solve a crime , not busting my mind on what you look like and yes if we have to meet i do not want to be surprise , let me see up front , you hide yourself but it will always be the same you.
Mzark,
I met DC in real life. Although I was verrry tired that time, I tried to look at her with my full opened eyes, she only looked at me with "half opened" eyes. giggle But that's ok as there was nothing called love I wanted to confirm anyway.. laugh
