Religion

I'm not sure how many thousands of religions all over the world but I couldn't care less which one does a friend belong to. When I look at a person I don't think/wonder which religion he/she belongs to. The respect that they give me is more than enough for me, f*ck the restlaugh

I'm born Christian, family go to church every Sunday, I used to read the BIble during mass every Sunday. I spent many years in a convent school and nuns assigned me as a catechist to little children during my younger years. I married a Muslim man, I have a son who follows Islam and have friends who are not believers so obviously it's not something that make a difference to the relationship I have with people.

I'm bored and occasionally attend my friends' Bible study, more of a social thing for me than religious. I know they're praying for a miracle to convert me, it's not gonna happen but it feels good to be with kind hearted-people lifting their hearts to God and asking for blessings and guidance for themselves and others.

I received messages from other members here asking what religion do I really belong tolaugh Some friends even asked if I really attended the Bible study the other night, of course I diddoh I didn't make it up so I can have an excuse to be late on my datelaugh

Just because I post some naughty blogs here, doesn't mean I don't believe/respect others' or my own religion ( whatever it islaugh )

Have a blessed Tuesday everyoneangel

Good to see you backgrin

busy here at work...still the same old crazy ways. You?laugh
I was born Catholic as were practically all Irish people.
It wasn't a choice.

I went through a Catholic school system, and lived in a Catholic-dominated society.
I knew no different.

We didn't really know other religions growing up. We knew that Protestants by their different surnames, and the fact they usually owned the best land and had bigger houses, but there was very little mixing between noth groups.
I knew that in other parts of the world there were other religions which I used to read up on myself, as there was absolutely no learning about other religions in school, not even protestantism.

I gave it up when old enough to know to think for myself.

Now. I prefer non-religious people as they are generally less hypocritical and judgemental. But I respect their right to be religious as long as they don't try to infringe on the rights of others, or try to push their views on others., especially me.
Molly,

Yes, when I was in a convent school, I didn't know much about other religions, I found them out by myself when I interact with people wherever I go. My family and most friends are Catholic but I knew about other Christian religion because they are also all over my country and many of my friends belong to different religion. it wasn't an issue between our friendship except with certain foods that they are not allowed to eat. I can be a good friend to believers and non-believers, if it will make everyone happy, I will even convert from one to another then to another one, at the end I will still be melaugh
Crazy, if you don't mind sharing , you can have this one laugh
Sorry Meant to say that I knew that Catholic Canonical law had little to do with christianity. blushing wave
There is room enough for all of us. ~I do hate people who mock each others faith or non faith though bouquet

Lemme ask, why's it that you opted to indoctrinate you son into THE faith? Had you any say/option at all?
Legs,

you have a very smart dog, he deserves a new bone and toysthumbs up

I received messages from others here telling me right away of their beliefs...as if matters to me!laugh
Some maybe think it might make them more likable , give them extra pointgrin

" you know I'm Atheist, right? " I say "it doesn't matter to me" but my attending the BIble study obviously matters to otherslaugh
Num,

No, I have no say at all...besides, I have nothing to say.

His father's religion teaches him to be good and to do good so for me, that's a great thing. His dad and I also try to help him understand others' belief and respect them. One day, he'll think and do things on his own...he can make his own decision then.

anything that teaches / show good things to my son is OK for me..grin
Num,

you've got to cut if offlaugh anyway, it would look a lot nicer so you've got nothing to worry about...comfort

When you made the comment about bible study and friends all joining in I remembered when I lived in California I used to attend a bible study from a Filipino Christian Church.

The study was always followed by a feast of food with the most delicious Filipino food. And the fellowship included lot's of fun and gabbing. I really miss that church!!
Seaworthy,

I'll deal with you later...stay, I'll be right back!laugh
