It ain't exactly rocket science, folks....

......or is it? Further awesome aspects of CS are the copious warnings against scammers. Such low lives on these sites---who would have thunk it? Well all such warnings are helpful. But many of us have evolved personal strategies to vet out these pathetic miscreants. Some such human trash are identifiable, with few false positives, from almost their first few words. Sort of fun, actually.

SCOTUS hands Pres.Trump a covert victory on his taxes....

....turning yet another witch hunt, coup equivalent, failed case by the NY state Democrat AG back to be litigated further in lower courts. In the 9 to 0 decision, the point was made, that a president is not completely immune from state originated subpoenas. Big BUT, VERY big, such officials must also be protected from such moves which "MAY BE POLITICALLY MOTIVATED".
The further court persecution procedures will easily take place until well after the election.
As always, follow your deep hate motivated feelings, and TD-HD Syndrome biased convictions and emotions. But just read up on the FACTS, and don't take the fat little illiterate Vierk Gnome's words for it.
Just one more small step for the man, and a big step for mankind. Sooooo SWEET.
Thank the Goddess for the impaired Ex VP Biden, and the Dem's ongoing circular firing squad, of increasing disarray, and near panic. November.

The Gambler...

Craps was his game and gambling ran through his blood. Moving to Las Vegas allowed him to play day and night to satisfy his addiction.
I guess you could say he was living in pair-of-dice!

a REEL good blog...

My brother, me and his friends often went fishing on weekends.
We live about 6 miles from the Atlantic Ocean and could take the bus there.
Typically, their fishing gear were poles that came apart in 2 or three sections, had a reel attached and a metal tackle box used to carry hooks, lead weights (sinkers) and an assortment of tools and gadgets used in fishing.
The bus got us to the pier, where they could walk out a few hundred feet to fish in deeper water than fishing at the shoreline. There was a bait store and the entrance to the pier where you could buy supplies and live bait. If you are serious about catching fish there's a good chance you would want to attach a live shrimp on your hook.
With the sinker, your bait will drop to the ocean floor. Not all large fish look for food there, so you need a bobber that is a plastic ball about 2" wide that attaches to your line and holds the hook only as deep as you set it. As a bigger fish swims along, he sees the shrimp and takes a bite.

We all started out using lightweight fishing gear that was ideal for anything under 10" long... ideal if you were standing along the edge of a canal or small lake. If you wanted something more serious, everything had to be upgraded. I remember my brother buying a used reel from someone at the pier.
It was called Quick Finessa and had features that allowed the user to reel in larger fish. That thing was so different from the 'toys' we had earlier it allowed casting a line 2 or 3 times farther than the smaller reels. Larger bait, thicker line... we were catching larger fish.

Since I was the younger brother, I only got to use the Quick Finessa when my brother took a break as I normally had the job of catching the tiny fish 2-3" long. I could put 4 little hooks on a line, bait them with pieces of shrimp and in a few seconds catch a few 'shiners' used to cut into strips to bait the larger hooks.

I don't recall what happened to the fishing gear as we each went different ways me playing music for a living and my brother went away to college. I'm sure if I mention Quick Finessa, he will have some stories of his many fishing trips where we always had a 'reel' good time!

Quarantine Day 9!

As my cabin fever continues to evolve, I am left with a few options: Play video games, watch YouTube videos or watch Netflix. My food supplies are still good. I haven't run out of anything yet, which is pretty spectacular. I wasn't sure if I would be able to last with the food that I bought, but I really had no problem at all. I might even have gone a biiit overboard with my cola-purchase scold. Yes, I know.. But - at least I will have until the end of summer, which is fantastic!

I decided to go for the video game approach, and boot up my PS4. Of the bazillion games I have, I decided to head to the good ol' West in Red Dead Redemption 2. I completed a few missions, until I noticed I had a bounty of 260 dollars in one county. So, I wanted to pay it off, so I could continue my journey without being pursued by lawmen and bounty hunters. I went to a station to pay off my bounty - only to realize that I only had 110 dollars. I needed to make 150 dollars before I could pay off the bounty, so I decided to look for camps to rob, houses to rob and stage coaches to steal and sell. I noticed a column of smoke in the distance, which can only mean two things: Camp or house. In this case, it was a camp. So, I approached it, only to be met with force. So, I pulled out my trusty rifle, and killed most of the people there. At one point, I accidentally hit a small container, which was full of kerosene. It spilled out onto the ground, slowly creeping towards the camp fire. It eventually got a hold of the fire, and then.. Well, you can guess.. The entire camp caught fire. After a few minutes of roaring flames, and screams from the survivors burning to death, the fire burned out.

Now, normal people would leave and report it to the law, but not me. No, Sir! I went to the camp, robbed them blind and left. I found a different camp, where I repeated the process. When I ended my session, I was sitting on a FORTUNE of... 230 dollars..

I plan to lay some more later tonight, so that I can REALLY pay off my debt to society, and to be a free man in the ol' West once again!

My quarantine ends in 5 days. After that, it's back to work, and most importantly: No more of these daily quarantine blogs!

Greyhound...

I was out running errands and saw a guy walking his dogs. Not your usual breed. These were Greyhounds. Two of them with long leashes and he was jogging enough for them to do more than a trot. If I decide to get a dog again it might be a miniature Greyhound.
They are so sleek that they appear to be moving when they're not!
laugh
For years, gambling and dog racing has been legal in Miami and my dad used to make frequent visits one of the many tracks. My (first) wife and I went once to see what it was all about. I suppose you have to spend time going over the dogs and history to make a good choice. I really had no interest in the sport.
On the way out of the parking lot we saw trucks that were used to transport the dogs. There could be as many as 8 cages per truck. Each cage was designed to hold one dog and the lockable doors had louvers for ventilation.
Out of curiosity, we got up close and could hear some of the dogs inside their cages.
Some young kids from the neighborhood gathered around one of the trucks and you can hear their excitement as one kid remarked "Dems racin' dawgs"
Hearing that, my wife and I laughed and to this day if the subject of Greyhounds comes up, you can be sure one of us will say "Dems racin' dawgs!"

Swatting...

Swatting as in being swatted is when someone calls the police falsely stating a crime was committed at the address of another person... in this case it's Georgia representative, Marjorie Taylor Greene. On Christmas day, with family attending her party, crisis hotline received several calls requesting emergency services giving out her address.

This is not the first time it's happened to Greene. On X / Twitter, she stated it was the 8th time!
So Merry Christmas to MTG as it made someone else merry too!
