Animal Farm...The Trump Era

For your viewing pleasure...George Orwell's Animal Farm novella on video...Stephen King recognised the novella as a story about a political uprising of farm occupants much like the political rise of the Trump era in America regarding the working class...but careful what you wish for...there is a down ward spiral in regards to the treatment and collective equality on the farm...as they spiral into the abyss...truth is non-existent and power is the new king...submission to such demagoguery is paramount...in the end...the farm animals could no longer recognise the pigs from farmers or the farmers from the pigs...

Snakes season is here.

These are SA’s 5 most lethal snakes.
Active now.

Cape Cobra

Africa’s most potent species of Cobra having a mainly neurotoxic venom, these snakes do not spit/spray their venom. Polyvalent anti-venom is used in the effective treatment of bites.

Black Mamba

Undoubtedly the most iconic and feared snake in Africa, mostly without reason, as these snakes do not readily feature in snake bite statistics in Durban. They’re the largest venomous snake in Durban and can reach a maximum of 4.5m.

Mozambique Spitting Cobra

This is one of the most common, highly venomous snakes found in and around Durban. The Mozambique Spitting Cobra is responsible for the majority of the serious snake bites that occur in KwaZulu-Natal, particularly in the Northern regions. Averaging only 1.2 metres in length, these snakes are commonly found in the west of Durban; often in residential gardens particularly, those bordering nature reserves.

Boomslang

These snakes are strictly tree-dwelling animals and seldom venture down to the ground, except to feed or drink. Boomslangs are not commonly found in Durban due to their secretive nature and excellent camouflage. They are one of the few snakes in Southern Africa that are sexually dimorphic, meaning that the males and females feature different colouring. Often the males are bright green, and the females dull brown/grey or olive.

Puff Adder

Probably South Africa’s most widely-spread, common venomous snake, the Puff Adder is relatively scarce in Durban itself, only being found just west of Durban.

The Mozambique Spitting Cobra and the Puff Adder account for the majority of serious snakebites in KwaZulu-Natal. The Puff Adder is a snake with excellent camouflage, and it prefers to sit and wait for an opportunity when it comes to feeding. These snakes may remain in an ambush position for several weeks, waiting for a potential meal to pass by.

My Cat is Growing Up...

Four and a half months ago, The first time in my life I adopted a small cat ( about 4 month ?) with unexpected, when he first came he was dirty, thin and weak.I wanted to give him a bath, but he was too small to do that.sigh

Well,at that time, he kept safe distance from me, he slept outside at the balcony himself for the first 3 nights. and the next following days, as the weather getting cold, he liked to snuggle beside the freezer. So I put a small box there and he began to sleep inside it every night. At the daytime I checked his body, I didn't want shared his insects.I wanted him clean and healthy, grin so I using the garlic water to kill them if I found, it worked well. I cleaned his ears with eye ointment. He let me did it only I needed is a quick job.yay

Then one day I found out some hairs began falling down from his small tail and he refused me to touch it as well, I didn't know what happened and searched online, considered that he is too small to use medicine, I thought of vinegar this time. luckily he is very close to me, it's easy to rub vinegar onto his sick tail... I have two type of vinegars, strong one and soft one,to my surprised that he liked the smell of vinegar, wow the strong one stopped his sick spreading quickly. Then everyday I only using the soft one which is more safer to him, he liked to lick it,I helped him to took off the bad hairs and then waiting for the new hairs growing back in a long month .

Now I still dropped a few vinegar in water to wash his body hairs often, he seems used to it, his hairs are soft and gentle when touch them after drying, And no doubt, his status of health is well also. He likes chasing his tail in circling on my bed. now I would rather call him a vinegar cat ? rolling on the floor laughing

Here's few pics of him

Me & My GURL...

This is our first selfie...

This is GURL, my rescue dog from the shelter...
I decided to sit down on the porch with her tonight,
and laid back to see how she would respond.

As you can see, I believe she was content...
I think she loves me... what do you think?

And the song was just perfect for the video,
with the play on words Girl vs GURL..

Rough day today...

Someone ran down and killed my imaginary dog, "Snatters". He was such a good dog too--never caused any trouble, easy to take care of. The bastard who hit him never even slowed down. People...drinking blues
