Old man, take a look at my life...

For years, I followed music, documentary and YouTube videos about Crosby, Stills, Nash... and yes Young. They are and were in the recent death of David Crosby, fantastic song writers. And over 50 plus years one emerged to be the moody bastard of the group.

Maybe you heard that Neil Young walked out minutes before a performance, killing a tour. Yeah, the sun and the moon weren't in alignment and it was time to go... forget about contracts, forget about loss of millions, forget about the fans who paid for records and concert tickets to support their careers. That's the way he was wired and always felt it justified his actions.

At times, there was a rift between Young and the world. Today my blog is about him, David Crosby and the feud that carried on for more than a decade.

Today in the news, Neil Young came around enough to give praise to the work and talent of Crosby and hailed him as the soul of CSNY.

That generation of song writers, musicians and entertainers are all in the passing stage of life... there aren't many more who can achieve their success. When they are gone... they are gone.

Lisa Marie Presley, Daughter of Elvis and Priscilla, Dead at 54

Lisa Marie Presley, singer-songwriter and daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, has died. She was 54.

"It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," Priscilla confirmed in a statement to PEOPLE Thursday evening.

"She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment."

On Thursday morning, Presley was rushed to the hospital for a possible cardiac arrest. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed to PEOPLE that paramedics responded to the 5900 block of Normandy drive in Calabasas to treat a woman in her 50s who was not breathing. When they arrived, the paramedics began CPR and, upon noting the patient had "signs of life," transferred the woman to a local hospital for "immediate medical care."

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department confirmed to PEOPLE that the unit was dispatched to the address for a cardiac arrest call.

The star — who is the only child of rock icon Elvis Presley — posed for photos at the Golden Globes alongside Priscilla and Butler, who took home a win for playing Elvis in the Baz Luhrmann film of the same name.

Presley's daughter Riley Keough recently praised her mom to PEOPLE, calling her an "inspiration" and "a very strong, smart woman."

"I was raised by somebody who did their own thing and didn't really care what other people thought. She was definitely inspirational to me," said Keough, 33, who will soon star in the Amazon Prime series Daisy Jones & the Six, based on the hit novel.

Presley is also mom to twin daughters Finley Aaron Love and Harper Vivienne Anne, 14, with ex-husband Michael Lockwood. She lost son Benjamin Keough to suicide in 2020 at age 27.

Speaking lies for power!

'The western media class is a cloistered, incestuous circle jerk that only cares about impressing other members of the cloistered, incestuous circle jerk. It doesn't care about creating an informed populace or holding the powerful to account, it cares about approval, inclusion and acclaim from its own ranks, regardless of what propagandistic reporting is required to obtain it.'

This perfectly describes the vast majority of 'journalists' in mainstream western media today. They're not interested in truth or holding corruption to account. They're interested in (metaphorically) whacking each other off and serving corrupt power centers.

Rock icon Jeff Beck dead at 78

"On behalf of his family, it is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck’s passing," Beck's representative confirmed in a statement shared with Fox News Digital.

"After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday. His family ask for privacy while they process this tremendous loss."

Beck spent the summer touring with Johnny Depp in Europe after releasing his final album, "18."

Their catalog was in the works for three years, and included covers of Motown musicians, in addition to songs from the Beach Boys, John Lennon and Velvet Underground.

"When Johnny and I started playing together, it really ignited our youthful spirit and creativity," Beck told The Sunday Times last year. "We would joke about how we felt 18 again, so that just became the album title too."

Depp began touring with Beck in the midst of his defamation trial against Amber Heard. Beck and Depp began playing together in 2016 when Jeff dropped in on Johnny's band, the "Hollywood Vampires." They began recording together in 2019.

"It’s an extraordinary honor to play and write music with Jeff, one of the true greats and someone I am now privileged enough to call my brother," Depp said in a statement.

WOW! Karma or Kismet? Maybe both...

Man Who Spent his Life Helping Disabled People Find a Home Has Won a £2.5million Country House in a Raffle

Grant Carson scooped up the five-bedroom farmhouse complete with eight acres of the Lake District after entering the Omaze Million Pound House Draw. The 58-year-old widower said that he can now get a dog, which was what he always wanted, but was always out of the question due to chronic arthritis he has had since he was seven.

Carson worked at the same Glasgow charity for 27 years helping disabled people with all aspects of life, and had never won anything before. He was understandably stunned when the Omaze team surprised him at his three-bedroom home in Glasgow. ”It’s not your average Friday night that someone comes to your door and tells you that you’ve won a £2,500,000 house,” said Carson. “I might be one of the luckiest men in Scotland.”

I think that's an awesome blessing that he got for being a blessing to others in need!!!wine

Finally the truth comes out about the J6 security failure

Just like many of us have long suspected, Nancy Pelosi and her office were significantly involved in the security preparations and decisions at The Capitol ahead of January 6th. Congressional Republicans were left out of the loop, and Pelosi and her staffers were apparently more concerned with 'optics' than actually securing The Capitol.

Your weekly dose of Donald... 2023 edition

It hasn't been quiet in Trump world, not for one minute. A few news stories daily and 'Trutes' from his TRUTH social media site keeping those 'Libs' on their toes.

I'm surprised no one on CS mentioned that Biden had classified documents in his possession. Trump did and wants to know why the FBI didn't raid his many homes.

Hmmm... that's one to ponder!

Your weekly dose of Donald... After Christmas clearance.

There's so much going on in 'Trump World' I don't know where to start. I guess you can only hold back things so much before cracks in the foundation appear.
Donald did say he would release his taxes... then he claimed he was being audited and couldn't, but that story was debunked.
After several years of legal wrangling, the U.S. House Ways and Means committee released six years of Trump’s tax returns today. Indirectly, he's no longer a liar.
Thank you.

Bob says:
Remember when Trump insisted that Obama release his school records, and then refused to release his own school records. His people even went so far as to try to remove the records from the school so they couldn't been seen by anyone.

Not surprising, he lied constantly about his school record:

Trump said he was top of his class at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton business program, where he finished his undergraduate degree, but Trump’s name does not appear on the school’s dean’s list or on the list of students who received academic honors in his class of 1968.

Commander Bone-Spurs also claimed that his military academy background provided “more training militarily than a lot of the guys that go into the military.”

Alex said:
Paid no taxes ? I already like his accountant more than mine. I’ll look him up. Unless he’s already in the Big House with bars at the windows.

Gene said:
Trump's tax returns are out.

The picture that emerged showed that for all Trump's claims to be a great businessman, his core businesses — a sprawling network of hotels, golf courses and other properties — have lost millions of dollars year after year.

“He’s a staggering loser,” said Steven M. Rosenthal, a senior fellow in the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center.

Rob said:
What is revealed is that the Trump Organization is basically a Ponzi scheme. Trump was able to keep replenishing it with more and increasingly larger loans until the bankers cried "No more!" (They realized that a guy who could bankrupt multiple casinos was not a good risk.) Then he started refueling by laundering money stolen by oligarchs from the Russian people. The Presidency was a stopgap which enabled him to sucker his followers time after time, grifting millions in small donor contributions. I suspect he is at the end of the road. It will probably all come crashing down in a spectacular fashion!

Sometimes brutally accurate, I always enjoy reading the comments.

The House panel investigating the Capitol riot announced it would withdraw the subpoena it had issued Trump, citing that congressional investigators had run out of time to pursue it.
Some people think of it as a win for Trump. Is having enough lawyers to delay the process could be considered a win? A win of sorts I suppose.
I know it didn't work out in Steve Bannon's favor or the 3 men who conspired to swindle donors to a private group that promised to build a wall along the Mexican border.

There's more... next time!

Had a conversation with the logistics- and warehouse manager..

I pulled him aside today and said I would like to talk to him, about my exit from where I am working now. We are gonna sit down at the end of the month, and form a plan for how it's going to unfold.

Long story short - my time at my current place of work is slowly coming to an end. By the time it ends, I will have been there for just over a year. One year and three months, to be exact.

"But Philipsen, what will you do now?", I hear you ask.. You might also ask "Did you get fired?".. I did not get fired. It's my own desire to end working there. What I will do when my time is ending where I am now, is move to another department, in the same company.

I am not quitting my job, don't worry. I am just changing locations. My future place of employment will be at the headquarters, which is friggin' huge! 24500 square meters. For any of you people who use square feet, it's 263715 square feet. 14 massive buildings. Dude, it's massive! I went there for the company Christmas party, and it was pretty intimidating.

Anyway, the conversation that I am having with my logistics- and warehouse manager is just to iron out the small details - when I am moving, what I will do and what my assignments will be. I would love to continue to do the same as I do now, but it all depends on what he has in mind. Where he thinks I will fit in. He said something about evening shifts, which is from noon to 10 pm. It's a 10 hour shift, which means I will have Fridays off. That suits me well, so I am thinking that's what I want to aim for. It all looks very bright for me at the company. I love what I do, and I love coming to work every day.

Be honest.. You thought this blog was about something completely different, right?
