Due to Tucker Carlson and his over the top rants that are considered homophobic, misogynistic and racist...the powers that be are considering banning Fox programs based on false information and spreading hate propaganda...

I haven't followed the news about the wildfires in Canada, but a designer I'm doing a project with who lives in New York City was in town today and said the smoke reminded her of 911.

Today, there are alerts on the front page of Yahoo so I clicked the link to get a better understanding of the severity to this disaster.

From what I see New York, Pennsylvania and the New Jersey areas are most affected.
I'm surprised about New Jersey as I figure because they are on the coast they should be getting off-shore winds.

I went to the National Hurricane Center to call up some satellite imagery and the live loop shows movement in a counter-clockwise covering the entire tip of the United States.

Since the news is related to the US, I can only image the air quality in Canada must be 20 times worse there than a few hundred miles away.

Last week, we lost 5 explorers when the Titan submersible imploded on a dive to view the Titanic. This week, it's 5 teens (ages between 18 and 18) lost their lives when the small sedan they were in crashed and submerged in a pond along the highway. Believed to have happened sometime late Sunday night to early Monday morning.
Four of them were workers at a local Texas Roadhouse restaurant. The restaurant was closed Monday and will have a memorial in the coming days.

The tow truck had a difficult time pulling the submerged car out and all passengers were declared dead at the scene.

One photo posted in the first news article shows a front end collision of the car and air bags deployed. I'm sure more information will come forward after police do a full investigation.

Impossible. Not going to happen. If you've been following the news lately, you can see the man is unhinged. Everyday he says something stupid or self-incriminating. Yesterday, I read he's attacked his his former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany. He claims she understated his poll numbers to Ron DeSantis by calling her "Milktoast" and many conservative republicans are saying Trump's comments have become insane, pathetic and unacceptable. Some have called his last attack “a canary in the coal mine” moment for the former president.

Last week, he claimed if elected, he will change the constitution.
Oh? I wasn't aware presidents had such powers.

He's still bumping in the night over what is and what should never be regarding documents taken from the White House. The lies exceed the truths. I read his attorneys have briefed him on the possible outcome of the investigation.

Bret is currently a tropical storm in the Atlantic Ocean headed West and predicted to cross the Dominican Republic this weekend.
Too soon to batten down the hatches, but it's advised to store water, canned foods, check the batteries on flashlights and get any safety gear ready for the storm that could possibly move into the Gulf of Mexico within a week from now.
Change the setting on your refrigerators to the coldest, fill a few bottles with water and keep in the freezer so you will have enough ice to keep perishables from going bad if you are without power.

In school we were all taught that Christopher Columbus discovered North America in 1492. That however is inaccurate. the Norse arrived in Newfoundland around 1000 AD and made a settlement. Many artifacts were discovered and dated to that time. It is believed that the natives in Newfoundland at the time drove the Norse away.

This is in a place called L'Anse aux Meadows where the Norse landed originally.

I'm really not sure what the new meaning for woke is, but I'm equating it to TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) where people cannot get over the fact that Donald J. Trump lost the 2020 election.
Time for a new acronym WDS and that stands for Woke Derangement Syndrome.

Clips of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has made it clear he will eliminate 'the woke and leftism' in America when he is elected President. Forget about anything else, it's his platform. So much that his wife Casey had a leather coat with something of the subject.
