When I first came here about three years ago, I did not attract much attention for a few weeks and everybody was friendly towards me. As I started to attract some attention, some of the older hands started insulting me. At first I took it as a joke but when it went on I started retaliating.

I was accused of being the same entity as the late Simmo, and also to be the same persona of an inactive blogger of long standing here. Now Simmo is gone but I’m still here. The other person is also still here, but I think that fantasy has also died an early death.

I was called narcissistic. I cannot even spell it, I had to look it up in the dictionary because I spelled it so wrong that my spellchecker did not even recognize it.

Narcissistic. Ah, I got it right this time. Anyway, I sat down and wondered if all those people could be wrong. Incidentally, that was the problem with all my enemies. They said I was narcissistic. Hey, I got it right again. Apparently, being narcissistic was my only flaw.

And I started working on my problem. I’m taking about being narcissistic now. I sat down and practiced to be humble and modest. It was hard work, but it paid off in the end.

I am no longer narcissistic. I am humble and modest now. So if that was my only flaw, I must be purrrfect now.

What I’m trying to say is that we all have our flaws, for instance I like to mock with myself and others but never know when to stop. People don’t always realize that I’m teasing and we have problems. Right now, we are only polarizing the blogs and it is not needed. The way we’re proceeding now, we are not going to end before some of us are suspended.

Let’s stop the crap now. If we don’t like somebody, let’s just ignore him or her. We are grown-ups and should behave like that. We don't have to read blogs that we don't like.

A few years back I rented a small town house in an upmarket neighbourhood in Pretoria. This complex had a common area close to the visitors parking where one could wash your car. At the time I was driving a small old Volkswagen...

One Sunday afternoon, I didn't feel like taking a nap, but rather washing my car in the common area...obviously I had my oldest sweater on for this occasion... Half way through ... a fancy car parked in the visitors parking and a very fine lady and a little girl passed me...The lady couldn't resist showing empathy for my effort saying that not far from the complex one could take the car for a non touch wash and that only for R 40.00 a wash. I bluntly looked up and innocently said it could be expensive for people who do not have money...

Yeah, needless to say... 5 minutes later and the little girl was back with R 40. 00 in her hand and very excited to announce it was for me... I was speechless for a while, got my words back and said thank you but I am almost done and that the little girl should put that in her penny box...

The art of listening ... with hindsight I could have made money this way...

I had been busy recently, consequently I did not partake in too many blogs. However, I do enjoy peeking in once a while to see if my favourites are still here. I also enjoy reading some of the profiles.

Quite often I see comments, blog writings and even profiles flaunting how successful, beautiful and even intelligent some members claim to be. That could be true, however it is a real pity that all these wonderful people should be stuck somewhere in something, looking for affirmation on a free chat/dating site and that from people they most probably will never meet.

The challenge in life is to value our successes, intellect and beauty as blessings, without constantly creating a subjective base of what is good or not good enough. To all the people on this site who manage to remain humble, allowing space for different opinions from people with different backgrounds (as typical expected on this free site), a sincere thank you...

At last I found the place where I’m going to retire. At least the people there know what they’re doing and what they still plan to do. I hope that I will still be able to make a positive contribution to the town’s activities when the time comes.

Perfect as just nature can.

Imagine two scorpions in a bottle.
Neither will gain anything by attacking the other. Yet they will think attacking the other is the best form of defense or survival. Naturally, they will gain nothing but end up killing each other.

Similarly to scorpions we share a common space called earth.

Birth and death are the only two ends of a string we are tied with.

Between those two ends we are all given a short sentence called LIFE.

In life we all strive to gain happiness, security and peace while avoiding suffering, pain and anxiety.

But just like the Scorpions we have failed to transcend the artificial boundaries and mental barriers like colour, race, religion, nationality, sexuality etc; that are more divisive than uniting us as a race. Human race.



Throughout history humans have abused, violated and killed each other over these barriers and continue to do so.

Animals only act by instincts of survival and does not act through a sense of morality.

We distinguish ourselves civilised and most intelligent species on earth, but failing miserably to uphold and treasure our ethics, morals and intellect in our day to day relationships as dignified human beings.

I am blogging with my phone for the first time while waiting for something. Excuse me for any mistakes and not enough emoticons.

I am off to another planet.

Now that is a scarce resource. Common Sense will even prevent you from making a fool of yourself when you believe that you are brighter and better than those around you; something that a high IQ and/or EQ apparently cannot do.

But either way, I have serious doubts about people propagating their superior IQs and EQs when nobody asked them for their CVs, especially when it is not verifiable by a reputable instance.

Suicide must be the worse sin you can commit for it leaves you without the opportunity to regret. Not a nice topic, but it happens all the time; as it just happened in my neighborhood.

It also is the worse crime one can commit; a coldblooded, premeditated murder while deliberately leaving enough clues around to be convicted in a court of law. Sometimes even leaving a written confession, before absconding to avoid standing trial. Well, at least in this world anyway.

A deed planned in detail and executed to perfection. Premeditated! Punishable by death in many countries.

But is this the coward’s way out? I don’t think so. It takes guts to execute; a kind of guts I don’t think I possess. Or total insanity.

I cannot even try to imagine what must go through the mind of the person when he takes that final step that pushes him beyond that point of no return. You should have spoken, Jimmy. There is always hope.

Now who is right? The customer, the cashier or the manager?

I get very suspicious when two bloggers disappear at the same time. Every time when it happened in the past, there was a snake in the grass.

Jim and Wallops have been missing for a while now. I know they are still underage, but there may just be some state in the USA that will allow minors to be married. I think we must investigate it. At this rate there will soon be nobody left to read and write blogs.

Our beer-drinking Canadian flutterby is also MIA, but methinks she patched it up with her ex-husband. From her blogs, it seemed evident that she was still very fond of him.

But lots of things are brewing. Before Denmark’s very own Marco Polo got visitors, he was camping on the blog of a prominent Scottish blogger. I‘m not playing Cupid, but is there something hatching?

And somebody else is still crazy (after all these years) about some jerk with a weakness for Fruity Loops.

As for myself, no thank you. The woman who settles for me is mad and I don’t want a wife who is – please insert the F-Word (continuous tense) here – nuts.
