Atlantic contributor Daniel Panneton declared that the Catholic rosary has become a "symbol" of religious radicalism.

The rosary is a string of beads or knots used by Catholics as they pray a sequence of prayers, but one writer warned they have taken on a far darker meaning in modern times. "Just as the AR-15 rifle has become a sacred object for Christian nationalists in general, the rosary has acquired a militaristic meaning for radical-traditional (or ‘rad trad’) Catholics," Panneton claimed in the Sunday piece titled, "How the Rosary Became an Extremist Symbol."

He added, "On this extremist fringe, rosary beads have been woven into a conspiratorial politics and absolutist gun culture. These armed radical traditionalists have taken up a spiritual notion that the rosary can be a weapon in the fight against evil and turned it into something dangerously literal."

Panneton slammed an entire online ecosystem for disseminating imagery featuring Christian warriors both historical and modern, suggesting that "social-media pages are saturated with images of rosaries draped over firearms, warriors in prayer, Deus Vult (‘God wills it’) crusader memes, and exhortations for men to rise up and become Church Militants."

He observed that rosary beads "provide an aide-mémoire for a sequence of devotional prayers, are a widely recognized symbol of Catholicism and a source of strength. And many take genuine sustenance from Catholic theology’s concept of the Church Militant and the tradition of regarding the rosary as a weapon against Satan."

The Atlantic contributor gave a wide variety of examples of how the modern association between rosaries and fighting men has become marketable to a niche audience, noting that "radical-traditional Catholics sustain their own cottage industry of goods and services," such as one store that "sells replicas of the rosaries issued to American soldiers during the First World War as 'combat rosaries.'"

How do you feel when someone says: "money is everything".

More importantly how does one react to someone who's motivation is all about money?

I know for a fact that 10% of the world's population has no problem about money. Musk, Soros, Besos, Bates are all in that category. But I also know that about three quarter of the world's population live under the injustice of poverty. Which means having no money.

Should we all be focused on making money? Don't get me wrong. I know how easy life can be with a lot of money but I never ever considered money as everything. Maybe I should.

Note: Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand holds the highest influence in my life.

Another note: Communist and socialist countries can't make money as their goal, can they?

Who'd have thought that something you'd experienced at least 4 times in the past (and had minimal stress with), would come at you again with such intensity, pain and discomfort, that it made you consider SURGERY as a 'fix', seriously!

TONSILITIS!!! Yep.
It was as though I was in a time warp of pain, sweats, inability to swallow, loss of taste and interest in food, sipping mostly on Gatorade and water, tossing to and fro as I tried to get some sleep each day, not even knowing what time of the day or even what the day was. No, not even what day it was. My sister (thank God for her), had a laugh at me when I asked her (on Saturday) to go into the bank for me to conduct some business on our behalf. I thought that it was Friday.
Now, whilst that ordeal was certainly bad enough, add to it a case of DIARRHEA!!! Yep.
Apparently, too much Gatorade and water, but not enough of anything else (solid) made my body engage in repeated 'elimination' for about 2 days straight, and I can honestly say (after what I saw, and...), "better out than in".

I'm not fully recovered yet (but thank God for the painkillers, antibiotics and solid food), as I haven't regained my senses of smell and taste (crucial for savouring), have a serious phlegmy after-cough, back pain, weakness, and occasional sweats. I've made an appointment for a specialist 'check-up', as I feel sure that my "inherited medical condition" has been greatly impacted by this last bout of distress, and have returned to using some natural treatments to help my body's restoration. Time will tell how soon I'll repair.

Maybe I should have taken out the da*n tonsils from the very first instance they gave me problems! Who's to say that the next time won't be deadly?
