Korea and Japan, it would force both thoses countries to pick up the slack and the tab for their own defence-likewise with Germany and our troops there. "Change" is happening all the time-not just during campaign season. 2010 marks house elections. Voting demographics are all fine and well, but youth with no experience of the real world (getting married, buying a house, raising children) accounts for a very wobbly constituency to base one's hopes on as, we all know, things "change".
I agree with you there also. His father, George was Gov. of Michigan back in the 60's. I met him on a couple of occasions. I don't know why his son left the state, but I might have voted for him had I knowm a little more about him, other than his ties to Mich.

I clicked on your link to the election results, and there, big as life if you could interpret the statistics, is reported Obama won with 52.92% of the vote. So the only 2.92% over half. That is thin. Damn near half the people did not vote for your messiah.
And the fact that the 18 -29 year olds voted like sheep for Obama only shows the young have a lot to learn about the world. You have probably never heard the saying: "When youth and vigor meet age and treachery, age and treachery will prevail." Do you remember when you thought you knew more than your Dad, and then when you got older, you were amazed how smart he really was? That is the way it is in life. The longer you live, the more you experience, the wiser you are.
And you never responded to my post about the Acorn election fraud that probably gave him the 2.92%.

I think that lady is delusional. He has done great things for this country. Furthermore, he's not kissing anybody's as! He's making up for the bull crap situation that Bush put us into! Bush went and stepped on every pair of toes that he could find, now Obama is trying to offer them bandages. As far as bowing goes, he's showing respect. That is what's wrong with this country. I have had the pleasure of being in other countries and I can honestly say that this country is populated by incredibly rude and disrespectful people, and is unfortunatelt consudered the social norm. Everyone needs to give him a chance. He has said that change won't come overnight and it will take more than 1 term. He isn't doing anywhere near as bad as GWB who has had the most vacations of President in history! Give him a proper chance!

I hardly think that it has been a black thing. I think that people are excited for the change that he promises. People who became of voting age saw all the crap that GWB put us through and wanted something different. Furthermore, a gallop poll showed that more people DIDN'T vote for him because he's black.

Most of us on here have been to other countries as well, and find quite a few rude foreigners when we do. If you want to try this yourself, go to the London and declare yourself a Republican/conservative. No one doubts that change takes time, but what's more important is what KIND of changes he wants to enact.
