liakos: OK people, i know that i'm getting into your turf right now, and i intend to do that with the upmost respect for your country and your sovereignty.
NEVERTHELESS.
For as long as i've lived and through my history study of earlier time, the US has been instrumentative of global condition. and i don't remember asking for that. The US national debt is one of the highest on this planet, and still the US expenditure, is extreme compared to other countries. The US's input on global issues has been so invasive, that makes many of my fellow people of the rest of the world wonder whether we live under a US dictatorship, through the indirect affects of your country's decisions to our economies, our culture, our lives. though i prefer to stay back from current politics generally, i must say that from what you describe the Obama position only bridges the gap between our p.o.v and the US's. that's not bad, given that we could ameliorate our international relations. You are not promoting foreign policy humbleness with this thread, and you prob know that. But is there anything in the world, or your scriptures that defines you as a US citizen more worthy than me or others? (i'm an atheist) US policies and interventions HAVE had a huge impact on the history of my country and others. You must understand that, and also understand that the majority of our people DID NOT ask for US help.So when some did cause it was convenient for them, you provided cause it was convenient for you too! But that's not democracy, or is it? I dont think Obama would sell out american people, but american people need, eventually a just and humble administration. So that we all get equal access to decision making. And your demands as US can come from a dignified theoretical framework. Right now, to many people in this world, it's not dignified at all. and i see that obama tries to somehow reestablish stuff. don't ditch him for it.

love to all, hope i wasn't over the line for yous, peace and be well.
Other presidents have tried to "bridge the gap" between competing issues-it is nothing new. Much of our past decisions were also due to fighting the cold war, when the U.S.S.R. was also meddling in the internal affairs of other countries-something that most of us are against the U.S.doing. I personally would like to see the U.S. stay out of anyone's business unless it threatens our people's safety.

lights: I think you are presumptuous that you think you can speak for the majority of Americans, either overseas or anywhere.

Do you not know this administration was only elected by a 2% majority? That is very thin, and if it were not for the corruption by Acorn, and the corrupting influence of the teacher's unions, United Auto Workers and the rest of the unions, this administration would be in the dust bin of history.

Further, since his election, a significant number of Americans are questioning his leadership, so I kind of doubt he will be re-elected for a second term.

So, you would be better off if you would only speak for yourself.
Not to mention the many active-duty soldiers ballots which were never counted....

You only have opinion and ignore the facts.

The people who did not vote for him are the ones who are questioning his leadership. We can use these forums to illustrate this.

StressFree: Hey there lights,

Obama won by 7 percent. NOT 2 percent. Get your facts straight. Like I mentioned without going into detail, you only had opinion and ignored the facts:

The alarming fact for the Republicans is that voters aged 18–29 voted for Obama by 66–32 percent while elderly voters backed McCain 53–45 percent:

There is a small group of people who are in the minority here on the forums who oppose Obama or who are conservatives. However, some of them seem to have the loudest microphone and are relentless in their ways of trying to invalidate anything Obama does or anything a liberal does. They often go on a subjective opinion and think that America is headed for Fascism lol...All they do is shout louder or present false assumptions based on nothing even remotely close to the truth.

If I collected the data from these forums and made an analytical report regarding who stands where, you still wouldn't accept. lolAnyways, please do more investigating when you present your questions based on truth and facts and not logical fallacies.

I never claimed any such thing about percentage points. Besides that, elections can swing very easily in a short time-witness that McCain was even or ahead in the polls before the economy tanked. Many voted for an inknown in Obama-he has no executive experience, hasn't even run a business much less a state and now he's spending TRILLIONS of dollars we don't have to pay off his minions. Good luck. In 2010, the demo's will surely need it.

Again, only opinion with no bite. Romney was ahead of McCain while the economy was tanking.

Change over the same old experience won...

Romney would have been a good president in my opinion, but sadly, too many thought ill of his Mormonism. "Change" is happening all the time-not just during campaign season. 2010 marks house elections. Voting demographics are all fine and well, but youth with no experience of the real world (getting married, buying a house, raising children) accounts for a very wobbly constituency to base one's hopes on as, we all know, things "change".
