BebeII: Bush made me plenty angry at his mistakes, but that's no reason to amplify them by spending trillions more.

OK people, i know that i'm getting into your turf right now, and i intend to do that with the upmost respect for your country and your sovereignty.
NEVERTHELESS.
For as long as i've lived and through my history study of earlier time, the US has been instrumentative of global condition. and i don't remember asking for that. The US national debt is one of the highest on this planet, and still the US expenditure, is extreme compared to other countries. The US's input on global issues has been so invasive, that makes many of my fellow people of the rest of the world wonder whether we live under a US dictatorship, through the indirect affects of your country's decisions to our economies, our culture, our lives. though i prefer to stay back from current politics generally, i must say that from what you describe the Obama position only bridges the gap between our p.o.v and the US's. that's not bad, given that we could ameliorate our international relations. You are not promoting foreign policy humbleness with this thread, and you prob know that. But is there anything in the world, or your scriptures that defines you as a US citizen more worthy than me or others? (i'm an atheist) US policies and interventions HAVE had a huge impact on the history of my country and others. You must understand that, and also understand that the majority of our people DID NOT ask for US help.So when some did cause it was convenient for them, you provided cause it was convenient for you too! But that's not democracy, or is it? I dont think Obama would sell out american people, but american people need, eventually a just and humble administration. So that we all get equal access to decision making. And your demands as US can come from a dignified theoretical framework. Right now, to many people in this world, it's not dignified at all. and i see that obama tries to somehow reestablish stuff. don't ditch him for it.

love to all, hope i wasn't over the line for yous, peace and be well. handshake

There may be some truth in that, BUT, they were damn sure glad they got the aid and did'nt put up too much of a fight to get it. I also notice they never return it either (the aide). There is plenty of U.S. bashing to go around though. How about this...the next time your country need's aide, I'll keep my wallet in my pocket, and my son and daughter home.thumbs up handshake cheers

I'm not against us, I just don't agree with the Republican version of America...like the majority of Americans in America or overseas.

NeWildflower: Wow, you completely missed the point of his post.
That's a common malady though.. it happens a lot with folks from other countries when they are telling us how things ought to be.

We feel that way about our sons and daughters here in the US. We are eternally grateful for the sacrifices they make so that we can be who we are here in this beautiful, amazing place. We are also extremely and eternally grateful to the sons and daughters of other countries who stand next to ours and fight for freedoms. We don't get it when it's not appreciated.

history will tell. be well. it's funny to us that you portray your selves as crusaders.

LOL, I'm sure! It's funny to us when people who don't "get it" try to analyze it!

RayfromUSA: If I had been here you sure would have seen some.
Unless somebody was censoring the posts.
There was a lot of that back during Bush's first term.
It was almost as bad as the Nixon era prior to watergate.

Speaking of that did you notice how the gears shifted from one day to the next.

Prior to Watergate Nixon could do no wrong as far as the press was concerned.
After Watergate he could do no right.

The same thing with Bush, it all changed as soon as he was re-elected.
Prior to that he was saving the country, afterwards he was ruining the country.

Only it was slicker this time around. Some talking heads continued to support Bush, while others ridiculed him.
But as time passed the ones supporting Bush became crazier and crazier so that supporting Bush became associated with insanity.

All in preparition for Obama, the change agent.

After watergate they slipped in a lot of change too. In most cities new administrations took over with promises to really change things for the better. But in almost every case it was a lot of lies.

Personally I have no more illusions about politicians.
The day when sincere people could get elected to high office is past.
Now, I think they're nearly all just front men for the power elite.
I think Bush and Obama are both just puppets controlled by the same puppetmaster.

thumbs up I can't argue with that, Bush was headed down the same road Obama is going down, just at a slower pace... Obama, because he has most of the media support, has ramped up the progressive agenda ten fold....cheers

I think you are presumptuous that you think you can speak for the majority of Americans, either overseas or anywhere.

Do you not know this administration was only elected by a 2% majority? That is very thin, and if it were not for the corruption by Acorn, and the corrupting influence of the teacher's unions, United Auto Workers and the rest of the unions, this administration would be in the dust bin of history.

Further, since his election, a significant number of Americans are questioning his leadership, so I kind of doubt he will be re-elected for a second term.

So, you would be better off if you would only speak for yourself.
