NO, YOU MISS the point. You know why, because if they truly were Christians or if they wanted Christianity to have any say in their government, they would have done something about it. They may have inherited Christianity from their parents, but they had the intelligence and the mind of their own to choose their own path. That’s something that you have never experienced and may never will.

If I'm standing before him, I won't need to prove he exists or doesn't. There will be other things to worry about. Because I didn't believe in him will be about the only thing he has on me in terms of the way I have lived and will continue to live. I still think its going to be a neat trick though. Worth the price of admission, as you say.

What does my race or background have to do with anything? I am not an atheist, meaning that I don’t know if there is or there is not a god. That’s something that we don’t know and we may never know. However, what I do know is that there is no afterlife, and I simply don’t believe in any of the “holy” religions. I don’t believe in Creationism, adam & eve, talking snakes or the holy spirit or any of that stuff.

The people whom you guys are reffering to were "puritans" from the prodistant sector, and many puritans had different sets of values that they deemed important.....all puritans were different, but they are not what we call today... Christians... different belief system....
Well that's the thing Tater. I'm just trying to figure out what Bebe exactly meant when she said that our laws our based on Judeo-Christian doctrines. The pilgrims were here first, and they were pretty much Puritans...a branch of Christianity.

I don't know exactly where and what BebeII was referring to because she often or always does not support her stances with facts and research.
With that said, if she somehow was referring to how the Puritans influenced America's religous and political landscape dating back to when the Pilgrims arrived, then maybe she was actually right for once? lol
