wonderworker: Our lums dont reek Scottyburd....not for lang. We take very good care of our lums.
Note to self: Get Ginger to translate ???
Scotty burd is right........
This is the literal translation......
Lang may yer lum reek!(Long may your chimney smoke!) Wi' ither folks coal!(With other people's coal!) (The second line is said to have originated in Edinburgh!)
Ever have days when everything you see or hear seems strangely appropriate to your life at just that moment? It's been going on with me for months. Heard this old tune this morning for the first time in years.
"She came to me, said she knew me; said she'd known me a long time. And she spoke of being in love, with every mountain she had climbed"

Jeepers, My first and best friend, we know you have some "wonders" going on. I look forward to making the "Apple Cake" even if we have to use it as a frisbee. My dearest Buddy, we both also want to quit smoking and you are our inspiration
...When I moved to East Tennessee a little over three years ago, it was because I took a chance and dared to dream that I had indeed finally found the other half of my soul. It never occurred to me that I would also find a brother. But after much introspection and review I now realize that it was inevitable - kinsmen will always recognize each other and eventually come together again no matter how many battles they've fought or how many lifetimes have separated them. And they will find a shelter of sorts in their comradeship.
The truly lucky ones will also find shelter in a different place. The following song is dedicated to four such individuals who make up two inexplicably and irretrievably intertwined success stories on this wonderful site.
Here's to you'uns and us'un! (But mostly you'uns!)
The_Kansan: Couldn't have happened to two nicer folks...

" I bought her a locket, a little silver heart, and I wore it myself until she discovered it and took it from me. There was a message inside, but no other can ever know it."

I went to a small coffee shop to get a book signed in an out of the way corner, after a winter of reading and emails. I was in love then, if not before.
"Jackson (little-known editor), you encouraged John to check out CS or I would have probably never met him, even though we were only 79 miles apart. It was wonderful meeting you and The Kansan and I look forward to more fun times together (maybe digging potatoes)"
We enjoyed meeting you on Saturday as well, Judy! Yes, we kept telling John he needed to check out CS, but I honestly believe that the two of you would have met somewhere, somehow even if neither of you had been on CS. Remember, Don and I lived nearly a thousand miles apart and found one another!
Am looking forward to more good times with you two; after all, we are all of the "same clan"! Digging potatoes is probably appropriate, don't you think? (Perhaps we should suggest to the CS Mods that a character wearing a kilt would be an appropriate emoticon?? Ha!)
You'll never know how happy we are for the two of you. After all, we understand the magic as well as anyone can! Again, all the best to you and John! We will catch up with you later!
