Hi Maisie wave
One of my ex RAF pals was at the model engineering club last night as usual and suggested we work out some way to supply rain water in 5 gallon drums and ship it out to his Daughter who lives in Nicosia so she can flog it there.

Apparently you birds like Rain water for washing your locks in wink

He said she reckons there could be a good profit in it already

Its cold dank and miserable here in Thanet today thumbs down

hmmm idea Do you think I could sell fresh, Scottish rainwater on E-bay??? I'd become a self-made millionaire in no time!!

Absolutely chucking it down here again....and the old banger that I bought 3 weeks ago is leaking buckets moping doh The front and back footwells on the driver's side were completely saturated in water yesterday! Mopped up about 1 litre of water from underneath the carpets, but it's still soaking!

If anyone has any ideas what it could be, I would really appreciate it! It is a 1997 Subaru Justy. Spent ages yesterday looking around the seals, windscreen etc but couldn't find anything out of the ordinary, although there was seemingly disappearing water in the windscreen washer tube. Phoned the garage and asked about this but they said it definitely wouldn't be coming from there....but I'm not 100% convinced. blues

If ye buy anything that ancient supplied by Arthur Daly motors ye'll nay get much after sales service let alane a warranty tha noo rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

Seriously -
If its a 4 x 4 I reckon it has been well used over wet ground and land etc.
Three questions

1. Did the garage you got it from issue a full 1 year's MOT ?
2. Is there any warranty on it and if so how long ? ( Most reputable S/H dealers should give 8 -12 weeks)
3. Did you get anyone who knows what they are looking at and for corrosion-wise, to examine it on your behalf before you parted with the shekels. No self-respecting garage should object to that.

At a guess I reckon that if you did not get someone to examine it and the floor is probably rotted out you were asking for trouble.

That could only be seen how far it has gone or if the rot has been covered over with Fresh Underseal to tart it up by getting it on a lift and doing a full examination and probe like they use for an MOT when they fail it.
If the floor is rotten and it has been issued with an MOT in the period when you said you would take it whoever issued it was breaking the law by issuing a cert to a failure. You would then have a case if they refuse to refund your money, repair it or replace it.
