g1ants1980: We are the greatest country in the world, of course thats a biased opinion....but man we do have some stupid people.
Yeah but judging from some of the absurd remarks I hear from some of the CS'ers in other countries about the US, we don't have exclusive rights to stupid people. They seem to be well distributed.
gardenhackle: Well, fellas, if you think some other country is more important, then maybe we can all switch subjects and talk trash about some OTHER country for awhile instead. I'm just going by CS posts. I'd wager posts about the US by folks talking about or domestic politics (you know, the part that's OUR business) outnumbers discussions and posts about ANY other country by about 100 to 1.
You might not like it... but YOU made us number 1. Thanks again to all of you who made this possible. :)
And collectively as a nation you're doing everything possible to be number 2's
The switch from oil not be easy and will require significant effort, time and cost to make the transition to alternative sources. The days of the the urban SUV are coming to an end.

Well, I gotta say, It'll be a damned fine day when some OTHER country gets all the badmouthing from a bunch of folks that don't live within it's borders.

I suspect if I were to post a thread claiming England to be the most important country in the world, the response would be similar.
But why should I make a thread stating the obvious?
gardenhackle: Ya THINK?! As a US citizen who reads this board, you're speaking to the choir there, sweetcheeks.
Thats why only a few US members posting in your thread..to NON support your bias against the rest of the world..exactly Mr GH.... their is a lot more in the world than the US only!
Godsgift: No. America is so unimportant that it doesn't have it's own site on CS unlike Europe, Ireland, UK, Australia and New Zealand! So you use the international site to display threads like this and embarrass yourselves infront of the world!
We don't need our own CS. The INTERNATIONAL forums are dedicated to the US. Just read them and see. And damned if almost all the "US" threads aren't started by someone in another country. You can't argue with reality.
OK, I'll take that back. I've seen quite a few folks arguing with reality. Reality always wins, but they try, anyway.
