The man would only have gone to the Moon six times, just during the administration of Richard Nixon, within three years. After that, the man never would have returned to the moon laugh

Nasa has said that they are planning a moon landing in 2018.
They have a probe orbiting the moon since July 2010 gathering lots of data about radiation etc.........
They have taken some great photos too.

Ah sure even if it is true as Karl Pilkington says "Neil Armstrong, that spaceman, he went to the moon but he ain't been back. It can't have been that good."

galrads: hahaha, uh, your facts are still misleading:

Von Braun refused to go to NASA unless the development of the Saturn/F-1 was allowed to continue and in 1960 he became the first Director of NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (before Kennedy).
And
John F. Kennedy was not sworn in as the 35th President of the United States of America until January 20, 1961.

hahaha
and
"The Marshall Center's first major program was the development of Saturn rockets to carry heavy payloads into and beyond Earth orbit. From this, the Apollo program for manned moon flights was developed."
"Over the course of the Apollo program, Saturn V rockets enabled six teams of astronauts to reach the surface of the Moon." for a little more info.......

Sorry if you find the facts a bit misleading.
I don't always manage to write things perfectly.

Let's be honest. Wiki is not exactly a reliable source of information is it?

I mean, FFS, I wrote and edited some stuff on there, and I only write good when drunk it seems.

tallman51: I don't think anyone is doubting what Von Braun did Galrad
but even he knew that the saturnV rocet was designed to orbit the earth safely and for up to 10 days.
He never ever suggested that they would travel 242,000 miles and back.

242.000MLS

So iff yea went to the Moon on a Harley ,not breakin any speed limits , say 55ml an hour ,

It would take about 4.5 yrs to get there .

Nassa would probably forget about yea ,given time . grin
