unouwantme2: anyone hate jamie redknapp as a sky pundit??

Yeah lots of people can't stand him as a sky pundit. There's even a group on the book of faces about it.

biggles90000: Ashley young as gone to Man utd signed a contract today for 130 grand per week.

He has agreed personal terms but he hasn't officially signed yet. He's getting married at the weekend and he's going to sign when he gets back from his honeymoon.

I see Marlon King is due to sign for Birmingham next month and Coventry are not happy about it.

Wesley Sneijder has also ruled out a move to either Chelsea or United saying he is happy at Inter.

DUBLINGUY1973: Yeah that was a pretty average goal he scored against the Swiss last weekend

If he's average now, he won't be for much longer once he joins United

DUBLINGUY1973: Useless??

Berbatov was top scorer in the premiership last season and didn't play much for half the season. The rest of the strikers in the premiership must be even more useless

Yeah there are rumours going around that O'Shea, Brown and Gibson are on the way to Sunderland but nothing has been confirmed yet. Personally i would keep O'Shea and Gibson for another year and let Brown go.

didnt know he was top scorer last season, shows what I know eh
its just everytime I see him play hes so lazy and looks like he doesn't want to be there at all, i dont like his demeanor, UTD are right to get rid of those 3, They are the deadwood of the first team

It has been rumoured that Alex McLeish is set to take over at Aston Villa since he resigned as Birmingham manager yesterday via email. There has been a lot of talk about lack of loyalty towards managers for a while now and was displayed by Chelsea sacking Ancelotti after they finished second in the premiership and won nothing but i think now we see that it works both ways. Apparently McLeish had two years left on his Birmingham contract, and the club are expected to seek compensation for his departure should it be confirmed he has a job elsewhere lined up.

Manchester United will finally sign Phil Jones today after they agreed on a £20m fee with Blackburn. Blackburn aren’t doing much to combat accusations that they are a selling club, with more reports that Chris Samba is on his way to Arsenal, along with Bolton’s Gary Cahill, as the Gunners aim to actually have a good central defensive pairing for the first time in years.

Meanwhile, they will agree to meet Samir Nasri’s wage demands in order to stave off interest from Man United. Or, depending on who you believe, some might suggest that Nasri is set to move on.

Liverpool are reportedly interested in in Southampton’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Inter Milan’s Wesley Sneijder has said “only God will decide where my future lies,” giving Man United fans some hope. Man City have a strong interest in Udinese’s Alexis Sánchez, as do Man United, Barcelona and just about every other hugely rich and successful club.

Jack Rodwell appears obliged to weigh up the pros and cons of getting first-team football versus actually being in with a chance of winning something, as Tottenham and Chelsea compete for his services.

Everton will use the money from Rodwell’s transfer to fund moves for Demba Ba and Sergio Canales, as they prepare for another season of upper mid-table mediocrity.

As for Dzeko, i know all about him but you're missing my whole point here. Your argument was Berbatov is useless. Mine was to argue you that he isn't entirely useless if he can score more goals last season than all the strikers i mentioned. That doesn't mean i am saying he is better than all the strikers i mentioned.

Who's to say if Berbatov had been picked, he wouldn't have gone on to score more goals? Without a crystal ball, its impossible to say for sure.

Yes, i have a biased opinion. You don't? Most football fans do.. Everyone is going to defend their team or their players if someone is criticising them. Its only natural. However, again i never said Berbatov is better than Tevez. I'm also not disputing i would prefer Tevez over Berbatov as much as it pains me to admit it laugh

I also think that Tevez should have been picked over Berbatov in Tevez's last season at Old Trafford as most United fans do (although most of them probably wouldn't admit it now) but i honestly don't think it would have made a difference. We would probably have still have won the premiership and the champions league. Would we have added the FA cup or the League Cup to that? Who knows? But i believe Tevez would have still left anyway. He doesn't seem to stay anywhere too long.

Picking a team is not just about trust. If you don't trust a player, why would you have him even at your club? I'd get rid of someone i didn't trust. The reason Berbatov wasn't picked for the Champions League final was not because Fergie didn't trust him. Chico was in fantastic form and Rooney was playing well too and he figured that with Chico's goals and Rooney's work-rate, it might work against Barcelona. So he was wrong but i don't believe any other premiershp team could have done any better.

You trust him entirely? That may not be the smartest of moves because i honestly can't see him being there much longer. Just last week, he was slagging off Manchester in an interview on Argentinian tv, saying when he leaves, he doesn't even want to go back on his holidays. If he doesn't leave this summer, i bet he will be gone in January. He can talk about being closer to his family but i believe that as much as i believed Robbie savage when he left Birmingham for supposedly the same reason only for him to end up further away from his family in Wales at Blackburn. Now before you get the wrong idea, I'm not saying Robbie Savage is better than Tevez either laugh Tevez also said when he left United that he would never go to Liverpool because he has too much respect for United and would never sign for one of their rivals. Where did he go? City.

Personally, i have far more respect for Berbatov because after the Champions League final, he said he was staying at United to fight for his place. If that had been Tevez, he would have thrown his toys out of the pram and been on the next plane out of Manchester the very next day. I think the one thing you can trust is Tevez is on the way out of Eastlands and going to Barcelona, Real Madrid or one of the big European Clubs.

Make no mistake. When Tevez gets a better offer, you won't see him for dust.
