DUBLINGUY1973: Nah, we still slagged City. We just had a lot more scope back then because they were bouncing between the first and second divisions

I can't believe Levy could be so stupid as to threaten to put Modric sitting on the bench or in the stands. He must know that pissing him off would just make him more determined to leave. At the end of the day, they are going to have to sell him if he's not happy. It would be stupid to have one of your best players sitting on the bench when you could sell him for €20m+ and buy a player to replace him that actually wants to be there.

As for Wenger, i think he is in denial. Unless he has a few world class signings up his sleeve, i can't see either sticking around past January at the latest.

Villa would be a good move for Shay at least there he would get first team football. I think Arsenal would be very stupid if they didn't try to get him though. They clearly need someone of his quality between the sticks.

As for Adebayor, he didn't have a bad loan spell with Madrid but as soon as he finds himself out of the team, he will start whinging again and Mourinho hates whingers. I'm starting to think Adebayor might not be the sharpest tool in the box for slagging off City at every opportunity. If Tevez goes, he might have gotten another chance to impress but if Adebayor keeps criticising Mancini then he might find himself sitting out the rest of his contract on the bench or in the stands

I agree with everything you have just said bar the Adebayor part. Roberto was never going to give him a shot, Ade was great for us on the pitch but Bobby didn't like him. It never would have been an option to bring him back.
I trust Roberto 100 per cent, but i never agreed with his decision to let Ade & Bellers go and i think Ade was right to speak out about how the club are treating him, it's disgraceful. I was disgustedthumbs down

He is a bit of a whinger yes, but Tevez can say what he likes and get the captains armband? Mario can ruin games for us with his stupidity and giant ego but still gets to play the following week?

How Adebayor behaves shouldn't have cost him his place, we have players who behave worse.

Well it obviously wasn't right the way Mancini treated both of them but i still wouldn't have gone to the press about it. Chairmen and managers hate that.

City obviously are not short of a few bob and could afford to have both of them sitting in the stands for the remainders of their contracts. It doesn't make good business sense but they can afford to do it to prove a point. I suspect both of them going out on loan had very little to do with their ability but more to do with the fact both of them seem to have problem with authority. I have always respected Bellamy as a player but to be fair, he has fallen out with almost every manager he has ever played under. Mark Hughes probably being an exception. Mancini doesn't seem to be able to communicate well with players though. He seems to be a bit arrogant from what I've heard as apparently he doesn't explain to players when they are not in the team. Having said all that, there can be only one winner at any club when that happens - the manager.

I'm not saying they should let themselves be walked on but at the end of the day, the club pays their wages. They get to call the shots.

If i was them, i would have slapped in a transfer request and if neither player was in the manager's plans then he probably would have let them leave. The only thing now though it seems that he is pricing both of them out of a move so they may have to sit out the remainder of their contracts.

Arsenal have pledged to keep hold of Samir Nasri, meaning Man United will hope to sign the younger, fitter and balder replacement for Paul Scholes – Wesley Sneijder.

Darron Gibson, may yet be staying with the club, despite other rumours to the contrary. The Ireland international wants £40,000-a-week whereas Sunderland are only offering him £30,000-a-week.

Luka Modric is finally set to overcome his chronic politeness and do what he’s been wanting to do since the season ended – hand in a transfer request. If he does go, Harry Redknapp may well sign Scott Parker as his replacement.

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly bid £9m for Nicklas Bendtner.

Liverpool will continue their policy of signing inferior teams’ best players, as they move for Leighton Baines. They will also pay £20m for Charles N’Zogbia, as inferior clubs continue their policy of selling their players at ridiculously excessive prices.

West Brom will sign Owen Hargreaves so long as he promises to stay fit – the chances of this actually happening are on a par with the possibility of hell freezing over.

And finally, if you haven’t heard already, the Beckhams have once again outdone themselves by naming their baby Harper Seven.

Liverpool will in their hole pay 20million for nzogbia. If they even buy him at all. A year left on his contract. I'm guessing 11million whoever he goes to
