Do you not think its a bit odd he hasn't spent though? I mean he has been linked with Samba and Cahill and his defence clearly needs reinforcing but he hasn't made any moves yet. If I was him, i would be straight in for Shay Given too.

I think he will spend this summer but I think he will leave it late. By then the season will be upon them and it will take a while for players to settle in. Thats what he has done in recent times lkooking for the best deal I suppose. Venables wrote a great article suggesting he revert back to being a manager and not a director

I just think Nasri is backup if they dont get Sjneider or Modric who I think are their preferred targets.
